no bugs too.

Thanks ..for the info. I was wondering if you could do a mini review especially in the following areas:

a) Focus Lock - the ability to lock focus. On the 300D, the focus has problems locking on some objects - eg hair. The 300D can never lock on to hair and the lens keep hunting non stop, even on L lenses. I've tried the focus lock on a friend's Nikon D70 and it's amazingly good in this respect. Focus lock is acquired instantly on almost anything I aim at.

b) The 9 point focus system. how good is it?

c) High ISO performance in DIM conditions. Most of the high ISO images posted on the net were taken of subjects in reasonably good lighting

sorry, pls advice me, so if both BP511 & BP511A has same rating @ 1500mAh, doent it means they both last the same under same condition on a 20D? Thanks.
In engineering point of view... "mAh" means milli amphres per hour (pardon my spelling). In simple meaning, for example if the camera uses 500mA, the battery will last for 3hrs (1500/500=3). As the camera electronics draws (uses) when more components are powered on (e.g. when u on LCD or flash), the current drawn will be higher, hence shorter battery life.

SO... the answer to yr question is YES!!! Same rating under same conditions will mean same battery life. The higher the mAh, the longer the battery can last.

actually i just realised order from overseas very much cheaper....

Yesterday evening was at CP and saw 2 pcs 20D sold .... :)

Any1 try it out yet ... ??

oh ya hahaha...but still cheaper haha

So, after all added up, it's cheaper by merely $200+, which is 5% only. I don't think it is worth the trouble, the risk and the warranty.

warranty is not a problem cos its international warranty

trouble = yes, its very troublesome

risk = yes, with all the shipping taking place its easy for optical products to be damaged with all the transportation around

warranty is international? the DSLRs from Canon in the past (or at least the non-pro ones) do not come with international warranty.

Are you sure that DSLR has international warranty?

Lenses do come with international warranty (even the one included with the 300D kit - the body has a separate local warranty card). But the digital cameras do not.
