thanks for telling ... so meaning if i wanna use night mode in future.. i should use the tripod instead? i'm still trying out this cam now...with a lighter heart now kekekeek maybe because i finally got the color i wanted...
i've also changed my exposure compensation as advise by ziploc... i tried shooting this today...are the white still grayish in color??

LOL, really getting better. I don't know about others, looks so much better to me. Fuji auto WB is known to be accurate.

Hi chery08,

Really glad that they are willing to change the camera 1 to 1 for you. The pics taken with the new camera looks great! And you got the color you like too. Btw, with the new set you might not need to dial in +2/3ev exposure compensation anymore. Experiment a little with it, take some pics of the same scene with & without compensation, compare & see which is better.

Oh and btw, need to pay more attention to the LCD screen for !AE & 'hand sign' warning. From the exif data of the 2 keyboard pics above, the shutter speed is quite low and the 'hand sign' warning is on. You need to step up the iso by one stop...

For the wedding, turn on the Face Detection. If you have some close up to take, turn on Portrait (one of the available scenes mode). Other than that, Auto all the way will do.

PS: The blurred food shot is having too slow shutter speed. At 1/14, it's almost impossible to hand hold it. You can try resting the cam on the table or use some support to shoot with the 2sec timer turn on. This will save you pressing the shutter button manually and thus hand shake during the pressing could be avoided. Since it's a close up, turn on Macro too.

Hi chery08,

Looks like the Z5 does have the tendency of slightly underexpose. You might want to consider leaving the +2/3ev compensation on all the time. Btw, the 'hand sign' warning was on for all 3 pics. The shutter speed for 1st & 3rd are around 1/50s so not too bad, but the 2nd one is 1/10s and is too low. Maybe you could try shooting with auto iso and auto flash 1st? One you're more comfortable with the camera then you can consider overriding some of the settings.

actually when i took photos .. i always see the 'hand' sign or !AF coming out ...but i just took it anyway coz i dun like the effect when i put to auto.. the flash will always come out .. if i set to auto and take it without flash.. it'll be very blurry too.. aww... tough cam...

I got a quote from MS that Z5 is selling for $499 with 2 x 1 GB , mini T, cleaning kit, sd reader

AP quoted my friend 409 for 1 X 1 GB, i couldn't remember if they provide the rest of accessories though.

based on the above info, which is more worth it ah ?

and also hor, do u know how much are they selling during the recent fair? is it more ex now?

1. 1G type H XD is going for about $42.
2. I find Mini Tripot quite useless it shoudl cost less than $8
3. SD card reader cost $8
4. Cleaning kit shoud not cost more then $10.

Another question, is 1G memory enough for you, do you need another 1G? Does MS color also bundle in the extra battery? that should cost abotu $25 for a third party battery.

No memory card reader, the shop selling the camera is selling the XD card reader for $17, I bought it from SLS for $9.

yup include gst. i have a z2 now, the batt can last abt 200-250 shots. so i tink it's better to get an extra batt. OEM batt is abt 25-30.

I would go to MS Colour anytime as they are the authorized Fujifilm dealer... And I am sure Fujifilm will service the camera with MS Color shop stamp on my warranty card then a shop who is not in the following list...
