Hi, I am planning to buy a Sony A1 but I am split between getting it locally in Singapore or buying it as 行货(Local Set) in Hong Kong from retailers like Borwin Digital, Leading Camera, Fourpo AV, etc.
My main concern is the procedures of obtaining a Sony Tourist Limited Warranty from the retailers themselves. I’ve contacted the fore-mentioned retailers on how to obtain the Sony TLW Card and they just said to contact Sony HK.
I’ve also contacted Sony HK’s Customer Service regarding the same question on the TLW procedures, they told me to email them with the proof of purchase before they can send the TLW card to my home address in Singapore.
Some forums did led me to believe that I could bring my HK Local Set purchase and the proof of purchase to any Sony HK store for the Sony Staff at the Sony HK Store to issue me the TLW Card.
I am confused on the procedures. May I kindly get some help regarding how I should obtain a Tourist Limited Warranty Card for a local HK Sony A1 if I decide to purchase it in HK ?
