Timeless~

Edited-9579w.jpg

Just got home from work. Tired and Shag.

Kinda sianz, so went through some of my shots taken previously to see if there is any i can salvage.

Found this shot.

This was taken at Chinatown (ya, on the same day i took the landscape shot from 21st Storey of BLK 5).

I remember this old couple was sitting together and their gazes were on the people that walked passed in front of them.

Dunno why, guts feeling tell me to go snap a shot of them.

And so, I "kk" walked to their back to shoot at the road initially. Then turned around and shoot them from the back.

Seriously, don't really know how to express how i feel about this shot when i took it initially.

But it gives me a feeling that, time seems to be of no concern to this old couple.

And they seems to be enjoying it.

And thus, the title, Timeless.

I purposely applied "Radial Blur" to this shot. Hopefully it works well to show the "stagnant" couple in the "moving" street.

I really like the feel of your pictures! And the touching stories you've written. You've really put in a lot of efforts in sharing your photos with the rest, I admire your spirits!

Haha, a fellow "Yap"?;p

Thanks for your compliment, i am flattered.

Haha, still trying to improve on my writings la. My english is not so powerful, so trying my best to portray the feel and story (from my point of view maybe) from the photos.

And thanks for encouraging me to keep my spirits going on~:D

前路难行。。。

"The going gets tough..."

Just back from China yesterday. Extension due to some hiccup in work there.

The moment i came of T1, manz, i nearly fainted... Damn hot...:thumbsd:

Well, as photography hobbyist, the sun is good during this period of the year. And so, i ventured on again this morning~:bsmilie:

Anyway, went to settle some stuff in Bugis and brought my favourite 12-24 for a walk.

Was walking towards Shaw Towers (yes, wanted to take a wide landscape shot from the 11th floor of Shaw Tower. Anyway, it is under renovation for your information. I took a shot from the 10th floor and well, it turns out crappy for my case.)

And i saw this old man sitting on the wheelchair at the cross junction near the National Library.

He was topless, which i guess he removed his shirt due to the hot weather.

Strange thing is, he was resting his wheelchair near the junction and doesn't seems to be moving when the green light man lights up.

And mind you, there was no shelter on the spot where he was resting.

He was simply sitting there and gazing at the people who were busily crossing the road.

I really couldn't figure out why he was resting his wheelchair there when there are better shades around him for him to move in and hide from the sun.

For him, his mobility is not there.

Even the 100 meters junction ahead of him is not something he is able to carry out EASILY.

I guess, and i really mean i guess, he must be enjoying the "feel of motion".

Reminds me of how we often don't dare to make the first step out to do things we really wanted to do when we can actually do it.

And there were others who can't.

Abandoned

DSC_9699-copyw.jpg

Abandoned.
No identification.
No owner.
No maintenance.

Nobody.

ah... thats the abandoned motor bike i see everyday on my way to school...
looking at this photo, i doesn't at all seem familiar... i guess this is the magic what a photographer can do; capturing things in some different perspectives, making the once familiar, sometimes boring subject looks interesting again.
thanks for this lesson learnt yapster! :D

Goodbye, Kit~

Edited-9727.jpg

You've served me well.
You've been my eye.
You've been my memory recorder.
You've given me the reach, the flexibility.
You've been with me through thick and thin of my newbie journey.

Me and you,
thru the Streets of Hong Kong and Singapore,
thru the Rocky pathway of Sentosa,
thru the Sunrise of Punggol,
thru Wenshan and Stella's ROM,
thru the beginning of my shooting journey.

And now,
it's time to move on.
For you and me.
For the better.

And once again, thank you, my friend.

Goodbye, Kit~

Macro.

A Brand New World.

Everything is brought down to so much details.

To capture this world,
you must be fast,
be sharp,
be patient,
be calm,
and be ready to sweat.

Every depression of the shutter,
Every step you took,
Every anxiousness you let out,
Every breathe you exhale,
Every drip of sweat on your eyebrow,
will affect your output.

The Impact is as Great as that.

As well as the Satisfaction and Beauty that comes with it.

Hi. I just found out that you are also a member in this forum.
You are my contact in Flickr too.

I love your "一张照片,一种感触,一个故事" photo series.
Keep it up!
