Thanks for sharing. It was not there when I checked it just the day before.

Just came back from Italy. Using the 18-55mm most of the time and only using the 35 for low light. I even managed to do some night shoot with tripod.
Operating most of the time around zero (and occasionally sub-zero) temperature with no issue whatsoever.
I am please with the performance of the 18-55 as a travel lens.
shoot shoot and shoot to get used to the focal length..I find that if I were to use the 35mm, I would have to stay pretty far back and that isn't even useful in crowded or space restricted situations.

Of course not as good as the IQ of 35mm.. Only whipped out the 35mm once at night..

do not remember a kit lens stuck on my camera for so long..

albertri said:I agree whatever cam you carrying a versatile lens is the wide zoom lens specially if ur traveling with kids or family. Even me I seldom use my primes when traveling unless you have 2 bodies one wide zoom one with prime.
U still haven't made up yr decision on getting d X-E1? Play wif it for awhile while u r in d shops. In terms of kit lens, d Fuji XF 18-55 is definitely sharper than NEX 18-55. U gotta weigh d pros n cons. Yes. U will lose focus peaking to use all yr adapted lenses. But I've gotten used to using magnification on d X-E1 to use my M & CY lenses. Not too bad.
But d XF35 is really great to haf. Seriously try hklfc website n look around. Good deals do pop up.
Hehe I found one shop that I always buys my stuff in HK and the bundled are awesome might come back tonight after checking around.![]()
Tatz great... BBB... :bsmilie:
You're switching over to Fujifilm?![]()
If you are enjoying your Nex 7, it will take you a while to adapt to the X-E1. Each camera has its strengths, and there are some areas that Nex 7 is still better, but there are some area that X-E1 shines.
I have a chance to swop my X-E1 recently with my buddy's Nex 7 that I used to have, and I realized that I am having new interest with Nex 7, especially with its new pancake zoom. Very light and versatile, and it will be interesting to compare the new Sony 35mm f1.8 prime to the Fuji 35mm f1.4. Depending on your needs, but if you like all the functions of the Nex 7 and use them to the max, you might find X-E1 quite simple. For IQ alone with both using their kit zoom, X-E1 is slightly sharper due to it non-AA filter if you pixel peep, but not much different if you print the normal photo size.
House comes first, camera can wait. Frankly, since you already have a Nex 7, I don't see you missing anything from the X-E1.
I agree... House comes first. But U ask me to swap to X-E1 one leh... :bsmilie:
