Wah piangz. That trigger seems happy to pose for you.
;)

I was attacked by one last Apr in Sipadan. It left a 50cent bite mark on my fins. Back in KK, I ordered a BBQ Trigger Fish at the roadside and bite back in return, that stupid fish's meat is really tought - to it's reputation.

U/W strobe. Cheapest S & S is about S$750 liao. I think I will consider that much later.

Kng,

go for ys-90. don't waste your time & $$$. it's cheaper by a few hundreds if you can gather a group of people to order from Enzomarine. Lagi best, if someone going over to taipei to carry in.

Hi Ah Siang
price list as follow
1 .x 1 YS-90DX NTD: 17,500(with optical fiber )
2 .x 1INON uwl-100 NTD:9,800
3 .x 1inon ucl-330 NTD:4,900
4 .x 1arm set NTD: 4800 (IV arm and base)
about USD :1050
ship coast USD:80

That's he quote for me last dec. now should be cheaper.

LOL I don't want to be a spoilsport but do all of you have diving insurance? I've seen cases of people without diving insurance and I can say it was a big burn in their pockets after they tried some non recommended stuff in the water and needed some treatments..

Anyways, take care and enjoy the blue waters!

non-recommended stuff? could you elaborate? :D

i'm interested to find out more about camera insurance instead...

Aiyah don't act innocent like you don't know what's not recommended... you know the usual drill... no bubbly before diving, no rep diving without recommended safety breaks at surface blah blah blah.... I could go on and on and all of you will vacate this thread.... don't think I don't know you all!! :D

About camera insurance, I think DAN has some insurance for it. Not sure about the details though. You can check it out here.

DAN Insurance

While you're at it get personal insurance if you haven't got it.....

For DAN ins, you must the basic equipments - BCD, Reg, etc. insuranced first before you can insurance your camera or other scuba related equipments.

orrr... the standard stuff. who knows if you were talking about hanky-panky, breathholding, spearfishing underwater... :D

I hope this is not overly OT here but apparently the Malaysian budget airline Air Asia is commencing flights between JB and Tawau end April.

A local dive shop is offering a 5 night Mabul package, flights and 12 boat dives for S$1088 ONLY!!!!

Think about the fantastic photography opportunities! ;)

cheers

That is qute good price...last time when I go Sipadan from KK, still need RM1200....
Anyone went layang-Layang island before ????

let's give coozie some support, so that she can become the first female diver on CS...

Hi Sehsuan. I think Coozie should have returned from the Tioman trip, as i have also returned from my Seven Skies trip. Hope she is alright and enjoying. :)

Holding onto the line leading to Seven Skies and do safety stop at 15m, the feeling is like flying kite, I am the kite. :)

danged! i didn't know that she's gone over already - no wonder no email from her for the last couple of days...

any pics from your 7 Skies trip? ;)

Hi Sehsuan.

Yes, she went on the same weekend as my trip. But to different destination. Too bad i don't have a underwater camera. So all those scene now only store in my brain. :) Until next time ...

Hi Waisj. The current is still bearable. But the surface wave is strong, the wave height is about 1 - 1.5m, and the line is attached to the dive boat. So when the boat move with the wave, the line swings too. And with more than 10 divers hanging onto the line, it will swing us back and fore. :) And our dive master is very safety cautious, so he require us to stop at 15m for 1min, 10m for 2 min, 5m for 3 min. As we are diving up to 36 - 40 m. :)

The S$1088 price was from big bubble centre - I have never tried this shop b4 so can't vouch for how good (or bad) they are. However, i believe that there will be other dive operators offering similar deals - so shop around and have fun!!
