Dear
I will ask Ronald Low to give you some tentative details about our proposed insurance plan to provide this cover.
Let me know, if you find the plan to be acceptable.
We have not decided to launch this plan yet.

Subject: Insurance for Photography and Videography equipment?
Dear Sir,
I am wondering do you have special insurance coverage for Photography and
Filmography equipments? I guess most photographer and videographer (Even
hobbist) will have equipments that we will want to have insurance against
possible theft or accident (for example when something actually fall onto
the camera and broken it when the photographer or videographer lay their camera
on the table when they are having their food, although it is quite rare,
there is a chance it might happen). The cost of these equipment could easily
exceed their monthly income

The practice of cameras insurance is practised in many countries too.

insurance directly and all other users by it's personal insurancing
counterpart Cedar Insurance Company Ltd.)

Based on 1.5% per year on the equipment, mine for example cost me nearly
$4000, will gain you an insurance coverage for $60 per year.
If you have another policy which covers Underwater Photography against
flooding, it would be great. I am quite sure underwater photographer like me
will definitely be willing to pay for a "add on" rate of maybe 2.5%, to
cover the "additional risk" the insurance company will have to bare. It will gain
you a further $100 for underwater flooding (of course you can lay down terms
such as the underwater casing has to be properly serviced bi-annually and
such), and for underwater photographer.
I would be even better if you could provide insurance coverage for related
items such as BCD, Dive Computer, Regulators (parishable items such as
wetsuit, fin, booties, mask, snorkels can be omitted, since there are high
wear and tear) etc etc can be provided at a rate of about maybe 4% per year
which can easily bring you another $100 per year.
Of course, if desired, you could put in a clause where the % of insurance
will increase, for example, at about 0.5% for every claim.
Putting it in this way, no photographer / videographer (underwater or not)
will want to exercise the claim if they can, however, it would give us a
peace of mind when we use the equipment, knowing it is properly insured.
I do hope you could consider my request.
Best Regards
