I'm actually looking for a camera backpack..

Must be able to fit 1 DSLR (with lens) + 2 lens (1 prime, 1 telephoto) + Flash,, Most importantly, must be able to strap on Tripod (Manfrotto 190cx3)

Ruled out Lowepro Flipside as it looks like a Rocket Booster on my back..

Kata, Thinktank some are nice.. The new Manfrotto Veloce V bag looks nice and tempting.. but exp + only 2 clips to hold tripod..

Will like to get feedback from bros who used backpacks. Can any bros recco??

I personally think that Kata backpacks feels dam solid and good for the quality and price.

I've just upgraded to Kata Dr466i, definitely better then the Lowepro flipside in terms of looks, price and comforty. Flipside costed me a hundred and kata cost me $11X.

I can store my D90 w/ batt grip + 3 Lens + Flash, 15" macbook pro, tripod, lotsa memory cards, personal items (incl. waterbottle) and finally an extra piece of clothing with abit more space left.

And with all these equipment, I do not feel the load as much compared to the backpacks I've had in the past because of the padded carrying strap and additional safety straps. There are also additional accessories that I can look forward too.

Anyway, IMO, sorry to any diehard Lowepro fans, Lowepro bags seems to be degrading and increasing in terms of price, quite disappointing as its my Virgin brand for bags.

I'm now a happy die-hard Kata fan haha, because thinktank, domke, nat geo and billing are too ex for me =/

Cheers

I just got me self a Billingham Hadley Pro. Like it alot. Can fit the cam body with 35 lens, a 70200 and a flash. Still got space. Unfortunately, can't fit a lap top. So for a walk around bag, this is the one to go.

Brady Ariel Large - Khaki

My daily use bag, without all the other stuff, I can fit a 5D w 24mm, accessories (lenspen, blower, batteries) underneath, 2 primes in 1 side, and 1 580EXII in the other side, with pockets free.

For film people, I can fit a Speed Graphic in 1 side, and a Aero Ektar in the other side, w/ film holders in the front pockets.

Click through for notes!

I'm a Billingham fanboi now.

So, I have 4 shoulder bags and 1 backpack in my current lineup:
Billingham Hadley Large (khaki/tan) canvas
Billingham Hadley Pro (black/black) canvas
Domke F-1X (black)
Domke F-2 (sand)
ThinkTank StreetWalker Pro

Safe to say that I'm drawn to shoulder bags now than backpacks (contradicting my previous post somewhere). :)

Hi,

I'm sorry if this has been asked before in previous post.
But i'm wondering, where are the places that i can check out most of the selections of bags,
like thinktank , kata, billingham, domke..?

TK foto has lots of them except billingham.

I have:

1) Artisan & Artist ACAM 7000
2) Lowepro Mini Trekker AW
3) Lowepro Stealth Reporter D400 AW
4) Forte (it's a Billingham lookalike from Korea, can check it out on Gmarket)

Overall, the A&A is still the best......

I saw a manfrotto bag @ slr revolution. Looks sleek n nice... Anyone tried?

looks nice, not sure about availability.

i'm also on the lookout for a backpack that does not look like a camera bag.
- not black in colour
- side access to camera (quickdraw)
- 1 DSLR body, 3 lens, 1 laptop
- space for personal items (e.g. water bottle, umbrella, documents, etc)

i found this bag below, but not sure about build quality (i think it's a chinese brand)
- benro ranger pro 400

Currently using Kata 3N1-20 and Lowepro EX-140, now I want to look for something in-between in terms of size.
Any recommendation on a messenger sling?

preferably discrete, holds 1 body with lens + 1 prime + 1 flash unit, have several pockets and slots for a 7" tablet and other accessories?

Can I ask if you are able to fit a 500 ml water bottle into kata 3N1 20 bag?
