You are buying a new camera system with the Sony DLSR...... Using Minolta lenses on the Sony DSLR may compromise the effectiveness of the new system ...... you won't see any improvement as far as AF is concerned. :cry: IMHO

the replacement hopefully should be ready for the show photokina..if i recalled correctly at the thread at dpreview did mentioned it before.
not zeiss as it not available yet.....i just want another GOOD lens in my collection

On another note, I think I may skip the new alpha-100... not much of an upgrade from the 5D...anyway, that's a personal opinion. May only get it if it has vertical grip.

More rumours info on DPReview forum, some claimed they saw the camera and lens brochure.

10.2 MP CCD with Super Steady Shot (AS) and Dust removal function.
3 FPS in jpeg, 3 FPS in RAW up to 6 frames.
Minolta Flash Shoe.
Both CF and Memory Stick compatible
2.5" LCD of course

If it's really3 "FPS in jpeg, 3 FPS in RAW up to 6 frames" the memory buffer have really increase a lot :bigeyes: , consider a big jump from 6Mpixels to 10Mpixels.

I saw for sure the 16mm, 20mm! I recognized these from shape alone.

Further back there was two "white" lenses! Looked like the 70-200 APO SSM f2.8 and either the 200 or 300 APO SSM f2.8.

If Sony is really intrested in capturing the DSLR market they need a reasonably price DSLR. Pentax DSLR are one of the cheapest in the market.
