What in the world is Sony waiting for?

3fps is pretty fast what, with the buffer at 6 RAW files, unlimited Jpegs...

The only significant advantage is "built quality" which is hard to quantify. I mean you don't see the entry level DSLRs (D70) breaking down that often either. So is "built quality" worth the anti-shake and anti-dust?

One shot 1 kill....or less shot 1 kill....the better. I respect. Many burst shot (blind burst) then choose...might as well use a video mode in my HP camera.....can select frame...hahahaha:bsmilie:

For me, fast is more than just the continuous shot rate. I would also include startup time from idle, shutter lag and AF speed. Unless there are improvements in these areas or something like weatherseal, things like 10 mp would not be sufficient incentive for me to "upgrade" to an Alpha from my 5D. I'll rather hear announcement of when an upgraded 7D would be launched.

Even when a competing model offers weatherseal feature? Let's remember that whilst they don't have AS in their bodies, there are lenses with image stabilisation for the major brands in the market. I think the value all depends on how one uses image stabilisation.

I also prefer to use timing to take a single shot but shooting moving targets I keep the multiple shot mode on. Maybe as a newbie, iit is my lack of skills but there are times when I know I wouldn't be able to time the shot satisfactorily such as wing angle of a flying bird or the spread of the flare of a dancer's skirt. Inspite of the 5D having 3fps, I do miss the 4fps rate of my Dynax 5 and my "prosumer" digicam. So a faster burst rate is something I would welcome even though I won't be able to see the picture in the later shots.

That's really a rare feature, even my FZ5 (or other's FZ20) can only manage 3fps only, FZ10 does have its advantage.

18 lenses and 2 teleconverters. quite believable except for some odd things... how come no 50mm 1.7, 17-35 or 28-75? why two 135mm lenses? what happened to the minolta 85mm?

if this is true, nice surprise that they kept the stf and the 500 mirror. wonder if updated version (ssm) of the 17-35, 28-75, 200 will be released later. would also like to see a 28 f2 and a 70-210 f4, but haiyah wait and wait and see lah. and who knows man, maybe there will be a killer 85mm stf/soft portrait lens to replace the old version... wishful thinking hehehe

Well..from the looks of it....the next body after the Alpha-100 may be a full frame.
The follwing lens seem to tell me so.

24-105, 16mm fish (from the photo....bad move by them to change the hood of this one to plastic.....i think the original one is better), 20mm....

If the leaked photo is correct, then it seems that my predictions are correct... the new camera is a replacement for the 5D but its features seems a hybrid of the 7D and 5D.... note the 2 dials... Sony seems to have heard us users...
