jsbn said::bsmilie: Taxi fare go up, assuming taxi rental go up as well in proportion as well, taxi driver's earnings will shrink? Of cos, that's going by this logic. The winners are still after all, the shareholders and the big bosses.
dawgbyte77 said:looking for police. Since I was late, I just paid, took down the licence number, and walk back to my destination. Emailed CitiCab just to know if the taxi driver is correct but never got any reply. I encountered this twice from CitiCab so I just stop taking taxi from them. My main contention here is on how exactly the surcharge work and how boundary is being established. Taxi may be more expensive in Japan but thank goodness I will never save enough money to actually go to Japan.

but, its still quite a jump... and i wonder how much profit is being made by these taxi companies...
that's why they start all the hikes now and next year.. 3rd year stop hikes and let ppl get used to it.. 4th year give rebates and gear up for battle.Sjourn said:OT: FYI, electricity tariffs will be up from September.
Every election also the same, after garment win, here comes the pay back...good luck to thier nx campaign.

Service department.
(replace SPYSPAM with citycab.com.sg).
You have to have the patience to keep reminding them - they are very slow in responding to emails unless pressure is constantly exerted. One feedback incident I sent to Citycab on their errant driver required waiting for 2-3 months for a reply (with reminders sent to them about 1-2 monthly). Entire incident was counted in years (with CityCab contributing to about 5+ months of it)
dawgbyte77 said:Thanks Vince... actually I admit I only emailed once. And my email is just for mine (airport charge) and their (contention about this issue compared to other cab operators) awareness sake but since it seems lost or ignored, I don't need the stress myself to followup and such. I just do what consumer do best and make a choice. So I choose not to take citicab anymore (actually I have a preference for comfort, compared to other operators). Nothing personal to your friends and I don't blame any individuals, just not happy wth the organization's procedure. I don't even blame the driver yet because he may think that he is right and I'm wrong, and for all I know he could be right. Anyway... I'll never know for sure.
so that is why it is called the progress package... :bsmilie:yanyewkay said:that's why they start all the hikes now and next year.. 3rd year stop hikes and let ppl get used to it.. 4th year give rebates and gear up for battle.
More good years to come :bsmilie:

From my experience, they won't bother to take action on their driver if you just email once. So that driver you encountered will probably continue his ways on other unsuspecting folks.
By the way, I understand that Citycab is owned by Comfort.
Have you had to pay that surcharge thing for other cabs? Or was it just a once-off trip for you.
