You meant f2?
Hi all gurus,
Firstly, my apologies for asking silly questions. Does these manual lens works on my D600 without any add-ons or modification to the body or sensor, such as split prism or focussing screen? Btw, I got no clue what is split prism and focussing screen and how they work.
Appreciate your advise.

yes and no. only AI and AIs lenses will wok. pre-AI lenses must first be converted to AI before they will work.
the focusing screen is the piece of glass(pastic) that the image is projected on in the viewfinder. you dont need to change it to use the manual lenses, but if you do it will make focusing with faster lenses alot easier. a split prism focus screen is the kind used in the old cameras where you had 2 semicircles in the middle of the screen to aid in focusing.
Thanks Ben for the explanation. I googled focussing screen, but unable to find out how it is mounted. Can I trouble you to explain further on focussing screen? How is it mounted on a DSLR? Will it impact usage when using the AFS lenses? And if not needed anymore, can it be easily removed?
Hi all. After looking thru some of the nice photos in this post, tempted to get some nice manual lens to play. Can ask, where can I get to install the split prism mirror on my d600 and how much will it cost for all? Thanks a lot in advance.
