thanks! it has a very distinctive look wide open in high contrast situations. hard to get right but special when it is. dont forget to post some of your shots too!nice shots! got that lens too and got to start using it more. beginning to get used to the 24mm angle![]()
thank you =)That's a fantastic shot of the Louvre! Brings back memories from our trip last year
I brought along Tokina 11-16mm on that trip. Though it's a sharp lens, it did produce a noticeable distortion on landscape shots.
thank you!WOW!!! very N I C E !!!
Hi
Can I know is there any difference in bokeh and sharpness between Nikon 55mm f1.2 AI and the 50mm f1.2 AIS?
I know one has 7 and the other 9 blades.
Thanks.
Ben Ang; They're both completely different lenses. i ve never used the 55 on FX before said:Thanks Ben, think I prefer the more modern look. Will try and get "clearance" for the 50mm f1.2 AIS, preferably new piece![]()

I do too actually, it has a certain crisp to the infocus areas. i want one new in box too, but they re crazy expensive; only available on a by order basis from nikon. i think few ppl really use the 50 1.2 so you can get mint condition pieces really easily. mine was like mint till i fell down in the rain one day ><
I can't find a new piece at the moment....
Why must be new? My 50mm f1.2 AI is over 30+ years old still in tip top condition. :bsmilie:
I know it has good built quality....it's the price some sellers are asking which is too near the price for a brand new one, I might get it online from shashinki or wait for TK to have stock.
Errr always wanted to try manual lens.... How easy is it to focus using D700... In focus will it beep or something...
U guys use mainly wide angle or Potraits lens? Think if i wanna try, will try wide angle lens, can slowly slowly focus... Heeee
