We love our manual focus Nikkor lenses! Part 2

http://s297.photobucket.com/user/NikkorMan/media/myGEAR/75-150f35.jpg.html I don't know if this has been asked before but... Have any of you sold off one of your manual Nikkors only regret it later ? I needed the money (as usual) and sold my E-series 75-150mm lens some time ago. Big mistake, that...

My regret was 20mm f/3.5 which I sold after getting the D70. I pretty much either hung on to the lenses or have been able to re-acquire them. Except for that and 50mm f/1.4 (both Ai and AiS), I pretty much have everything I used to own and more.

not really for me. the 135/2 was nice, but perspective din work out on fx. anyhow, i do have an ex condiiton 75-150 3.5 if you re interested. i wont be back in sg till early next year though, so you ll have to wait =P

Here's a pic taken with my 75-150mm when I just got my first DSLR, the D70. Man, that cam was back-focusing like crazy when I first got it, but luckily with a manual-focus lens that's a non-issue ;)

My 85mm f/1.4 AIS up for sale.
But, nobody interested.. yet..

Old car, old lens. Cichlid, the picture looks lovely and as Robbie J said brings back memories of years ago. Thumbs up.

Hmm the old school E series 75-150m surely hold its own against newer lenses. It is sharp. :)

just done with converting the rokkor 24/2.8 which shares the same optical formula with the leica elmarit-R 24/2.8. it'll go head to head with the nikkor 24/2.8 soon. perhaps the nikkor will be better, than i can continue posting in this thread =P

shot with nikkor 24/2.8 AIs @ 2.8 on a D40

That's a bit too close for 50mm innit?! Nevermind that it's sleeping ;p

I think he fed it poisoned meat first and then took the close shot. They don't normally react well to DSLR mirrors clacking otherwise.

Got this pre-Ai 200f4 Q (modified AI) at a super low price:)
Love the result on D600.

The night before I wanted to place an ad to sell my 50mm f1.2, I brought the lens to take family portraits at MBS area. One look at the shot taken at f1.2, the sharpness and the bokeh behind my family members and me, the sale was of course aborted, lol. The Sigma 35mm f1.4 lens has to wait.

Arrgh how can you even think of selling away this classic? You are my hero with this lens and kinda convinced me to get one of my own leh hahah. BTW, I am still loving mine and added a 105mm f2.5 which is quite nice and sharp when you get the focus bang on.

Nice complete blur background from the 200mm pre Ai..

Once in a while I will take it out and shoot my kids with it. Here is a picture of my daughter shot wide open at f/1.2 :). I love the way the way the lens draw. I will use it as long as I am able to focus well with it.
