OK.... where shall I start.

1. Most important thing, I've already explained to you over the phone why I cant clear the amount of money for your assistance. As for everyone to know, I've made the effort to clear partly thinking that he'd need the money badly. I even left him a 50 dollar note for him to take hair cut. I know for sure you understood perfectly when I said I couldnt' pay you because the shanstudio account has no money, even though I havent even taken my share of the money of my own job. That's like 3k? 4k? or more?

2. What about screw-ups you made on my behalf? I definitely lost a client due to my trust in you. and why the screw up? Simple, you arrived late. That's simply unprofessional. Also, when someone passed a job to you, if you cant do it, let that person know. not just throw it to some amateurs and let them screw it up, for me. yeah, I know we waived the fee altogether, but it was damn lucky the client still has the trust in ME. not you, of course.

3. Regarding the job you've taken off Ced, you tried to do that to my client once or perhaps more? The nature of the job was so rare that I dare bet anything that whatever you claimed to be your friend's dad's job etc etc was the same as the one my regular client needed. Of course, when confronted you denied it. And you know, when you quoted for your so called biz partner, you ought to CC or BCC to me? especially he's my client. why did you hide it? Till I asked you, yet you still copied n pasted instead of just forwarding the email to me in its full entirety...

Anyway, yeah, I'm Hendra

On biz side, a lot have been said by Ced. I feel tired thinking about that episode...
I'll only add on when it's necessary...

I kinda knew that was costly, and its something nobody really care about.. which is why I keep highlighting to Paul, check, check and check again... Initially, nobody bothered in the start of the thread...:sticktong

Until the 700 plus bill comes around to scare people...

thanks cedric for yours and hendra's part of the story, hope u've gotten over it and move on with your life!

Hi all,
I finally decided to settle once and for all with Justin and asked him for a 400 SGD reimbursement. He just transferred the amount to my account as I checked. That is fair compensation to me, I could have been nasty and squeezed him for more. Now, my issue with that guy is over and I never ever want to be associated with him again.

Thanks for the advices given by all in this long thread.

Cheers.

good to hear that it is over..

Cause most people uses a card reader.(maybe the seller also uses only card reader?) But really  on pointing out the USB and I am really shocked to find out the repair cost is so expensive. So day I sell my camera, I will check the USB port before posting.;)

the usb port is use for tethering too.

finally....the end...tt's all folks!

This suddenly turn into my favourite thread.....

Frankly, in my view - I cannot think of anything that he (Justin) can seriously undertake in Singapore or anywhere else that his lack of Integrity (if indeed it was determined that his integrity was in question) will qualify him for a job.:bsmilie::bsmilie:

he can be a used car salesman

We have to prevent such thing from happening, I propose we should do up a check list for different item so that newbie can check against when buying from the BNS. If not someone else might get cheated again. It had nvr occurred to me that we need to check the USB port.... :o

Until I read this thread....

That is a good proposal. Why don't you take the lead and write one?

CSI - Singapore. starring bro fatigue.

CSI - Camera Scam Investigators...lol

Paul... wishing you all the best in getting back your $$$... I think the media has the rights to know so as to let the gulity party owns up his mistakes.

Cheers

But will it be another case of newbie not searching/doing their own research before action? I feel there's no way to write up a dummy guide for purchasing some items and implement it like Army SOP. The list can get like 100 pages but no one might even read them.

This thread is such a good read.

Classic 'the-plot-thickens' as a seemingly well-heeled major (read: UOB) credit card company representative attempts to make a dodgy sale, but chose a correctly-persistent buyer. To his own destruction (or in his hastiness to get rid of his faulty camera), he promises items which he did not deliver. This resulted in the sounding of the 1st alarm as our buyer posts on CS (Singapore's number ONE photography forum). And the plot thickens...
An informant who did not wish to be identified at the time points our buyer towards a certain known fault - and oh-ehm-gee, this 2nd alarm is a big one. From a box, manual and bag, this elusive seller goes from a small inconvenience to a big-time BnS cheat. But wait, the plot thickens...
The "CSI" searches the world-wide-web (using anything from facebook to physical acquaintances) to uncover more truths about our elusive seller's past. Car salesman, photographer, girlfriend....the stuff that turned up said much but proved nothing. And the plot thickens....
"faulty item is faulty because I know how it happened..." Wait, did we miss something? Oh, it's time for an ex-partner to now spill the beans about our now-reputation-halfway-down-the-drain seller. This isn't just going to be climactic. It's going to be EPIC because not just one, but TWO corroborated testimonies now send our seller's reputation down-the-drain and into-the-ocean.
Of course, every viewer is allowed his/ her opinion. In my opinion, every show has to have a hero. This drama, I feel, wouldn't have been possible had it not been for our 'hero' - Justin Yeo. For that, Justin, you get 5  - no SBC/ TCS/ Mediacorp villian ever featured onscreen can rival the 'heroics' you played out here. I hope Mediacorp reads this so you can get a job (since if UOB reads this, I hope they drop you like a rock).

many ifs... If only he:

1. Did the job he took away from me, delivered nicely on time, I wouldn't have found out. I still would at a later stage... If it's a "grey" area kinda job, I would have nothing to say.. but this time, it's downright stealing... Being "night soil collector" isn't pleasant, worst when not even paid.. Till now, he happily pocketed the SGD 1500.00 he received from the client while I spent a day on travel, tiff the images, color correct (every gown he shot was Y-E-L-L-O-W!!!!!!!...) Even a blogshop showcase better images...

2. sold the camera, be honest about it, delivered it as promised, my story would not have been told

Paul's decision to pay him a house visit made all the differences.. If Paul hesitated to pay him a visit, I think he'll kiss the money goodbye....

Ok sir, but have to be after my job.... need to finish this before can do other things..

LOL....

But if I write where should i post?

what goes around, comes around. bad karma will fall on him for such hilarious mistake, lies and bluffing he made.

Everybody deserve a 2nd, 3rd and 4th chance.

Let's move on. It is time to close the thread.

May all be well and happy.
