Gariz Special Edition Half Case for Silver OM-D E-M5.

And this is MY CHOICE.

Reason being:
1) Logo less prominent. Matter of fact, it's a little hard to make out the logo.
2) A slightly more "grippy" texture than the faux leather on the camera body.
3) "Grippy" again. Compared to the other 2, which are downright slippery.

My OMD Silver

accessories:
1) Gariz silver/black soft button, just nice for my silver black body.
2) Gariz special black edition half leather case
3) Arnuvo leather strap (Dark brown).

The Gariz special edition half case feel softer on the grip, eliminates slipery hands.
I am also able to place 4 fingers on the grip instead of 3 fingers, hence better grip.
The base also provide addition protection against scratches.

Mmmm.... very good choice! :D

U got the Arnuvo from Chiif? I wanted to get the neck strap together with my wrist strip that day.. but Chiif discouraged me.. say one good enough haha...

yes, bought from Chiif.:)
I think he is right, no point putting hand strap and beck strap together. Either one is good enough.

Mmmm.... very good choice! :D

you make the right choice to get the Speical edition black too. :)
thanks for the pics with different gariz half case.

Bought last piece of battery grip at $350/- New shipment comes in any time towards last week of May 2012
according to Olympus here. Fitted L-shaped section first into body of camera, then the base section.
It will not let you use just one piece alone. It works in combination of two pieces and gives a good grip.
I use only one battery in the section to avoid taking them out to insert another battery in the body.
It is cumbersome to have two batteries to work together.
It is good for working with long lenses for balance of overall weight of body and lens
There is a vertical shooting switch lock at the base section for switching off to prevent
accidental pressing again the Shutter Button at front left side of section when holding the camera and
shooting horizontally. With the grips attached, the whole camera shaped like a big squarish camera.

Paiseh... very late posting cos photos were loaded in iPhoto at home and I've not even have time to find it for the whole week. LOL.

But you didn't need help deciding do you? :)

Where did you get it for $350?
Mind sharing a photo how it looks on the camera body? ^^

One will just get into the way of the other....

Unless... I'm using this instead.

Cam-In Calf Leather Wrist Strap + Custom SLR Glide Strap with C-Loop

The amazing glide strap lets me use the camera in a "gunshot" style. I can just slip out of the wrist strap and leave the camera hanging at my side.

When I need to use it, merely glide it up to my torso easily and take the shot.

One thing about using this on the OM-D E-M5 as oppose to using a traditional leather neck strap... the lugs on the camera does not get in the way of pressing the shutter.

This just hits the sweet spot. Highly recommended.

it is ok, no problem.
i was waiting for your pics, but was too free that day and decided to drop by the shop.
they let me try 3 different types, and the Special black edition stands out among the rest.

i see. i think your wrist strap looks nice.
maybe you can try for the time being and decide if neck strap suits you better.

You can use the landscape grip alone without the portrait grip.

Yeah I like it very much.. anyway repost the strap picture here to add on to the accessories list.

For those interested - Arnuvo brown leather Strap $20 from Chiff... =)

I like your choice. I would choose this leather if I were you and if I had a silver EM5.

dropped my eye piece :(

any1 knows where i can get ep-11 ?

Feels very secure for me.

Took a considerable bit of tugging to get it out.

And I realize the eyepiece very easy to take out

Is it easy to take out? There's some sort of catch, and it usually needs a lot of strength to get past the catch.
I found it quite hard to remove and also quite hard to put back.
