[ Vanity ] How are you wearing your E-M5?

- Cam-In Calf Leather Wrist Strap
- Custom SLR Glide Strap with C-Loop
- Gariz Half Leather Case Special Edition

The amazing glide strap lets me use the camera in a "gunshot" style. I can just slip out of the wrist strap and leave the camera hanging at my side.

When I need to use it, merely glide it up to my torso easily and take the shot.

One thing about using this on the OM-D E-M5 as oppose to using a traditional leather neck strap... the lugs on the camera does not get in the way of pressing the shutter.

Particularly useful when fitted with my 45-200mm. Makes it so much more usable and less tiring.

This just hits the sweet spot. Highly recommended.

Nice set up you have!
I'm intending to have the same set up as yours, without the wrist strap only.
Just got a few enquiry to ask,
1. Does the Gariz case helps to grip the camera better as compared when without the case?
2. The Gariz metal base when attached to the c-loop via the tripod mount on the case base, will the base split off away from the case under normal/heavy usage since its like supporting the whole camera when hung on your shoulder?

Pardon my bad description. Haha. Cheers!

those leather half case? those are really good using it on my PEN and it does help a lot not worried if I scratch the body and it provide a much better grip :-) (based on my experience

But when u put in a bag without an insert, it might scratch the other half.. And for 150, very pricy

hi!! i think you can try those neoprene cases if you want to put the camera in your bag without inserts... i use one that i bought for my e420 ages back and it fits the EM5 with my pancake lenses or my PL25, though it's sort of a stretch. and it's sort of coming apart at the seams.
it sort of looks like this with the camera in it.

anyways! i saw this link at amazon. worth checking it out, it looks bigger than mine so its roomier and it's cheap! =D

#2 - The OMD EM-5 with battery grip. It really improves the handling of the camera.

Is there any place that I can have a feel of the handgrip? If you put a battery in the grip and none in the body, will the cam still power up? Cant decide which should i get, gariz case or handgrip.
Thanks!

Regardless where you put the battery, it will work. The grip greatly improves the handling of the camera for me. Not forgetting that it looks marvelous with the camera.

Decided I do not need a neck strap since I am using Spyder Pro system. Though a wrist strap (Herringbone, Korea) is good to have. Added a hood for the 12-50mm so that I can put the camera and lens down on the ground without scratching my filter.

those are knock-offs/copies, not to mention more expensive than the originals he's copying... here's the link to the original straps that he copied, better get from there: gordy's camera straps
