[ Vanity ] How are you wearing your E-M5?

I find it cheaper too.

Just contemplating between a wrist or a sling.. Anyone here used BOTH of them to compare. Appreciate your 2 cents might help me decide.. TIA.

i used rapidstrap and sun sniper before, on my d7000... i prefer the sun sniper one, feels more solid and more comfortable, just a tiny bit heavier and bulkier...

From the pics, seems that the sling is too thin for a neck strap. Probably the original olympus neck strap is more comfy.
The black rapid looks good. :)

i find the rapid and sniper a bit overkill for the omd em5. it would look like a keychain hanging. (exaggeration hehe).

not to mention them price.. sigh.

thanks for the inputs. maybe il try the wrist strap first. hopefully my wrist can handle the load with a 200g weight lens.

Yeah, I find the RS4 overkill, too. Feels out of proportion. Looking for something slimmer. Gordy's and Andy's sling looks interesting, but they're not adjustable. =(

Gordy is aware of Andy copying his work, heard from one of our past local gordy resellers. Doesnt boil well for our nation's image. I am sure andy with his leather skills can definitely come up with his own designs.

i was oso confused initially between the two, given the similarities... then i found out that andy's straps are knock-offs/copies of gordy's... i prefer to support the original (cheaper too, i find)

I shared your view. I actually email Andy after the above post and wanting to buy a sling strap, I will instead order from Gordy. Just placed an order for one actually.

OM-D_SpiderPro.jpg

Using it with a modified hand strap and the bracket for the Spider Pro system, which is the way I carry my cameras these days. I am hoping that they will work on a smaller bracket for the OM-D.

LOL... That's a no-no for me too. I hate tucking in my shirt and has never used a holster of any sort

Last time I wore shirt and jacket was probably for my wedding photoshoot ages ago.

You can use the Black Widow.... should be more than capable of holding the E-M5.

Black Widow Holster : The Black Widow : Spider Holster

No difference with both systems, in face the pro version can handle a lot more weight as it is an all metal construction. I am waiting for them to create a smaller all metal base plate for the OM-D instead.

Don't have to. You can use a gun holster and sling it a lot more lower... personal preference of course on how low you want it to go... No point having your camera hanging off your thigh right?

Again, the choice for the Spider Pro is to support my entire arsenal from leisure to full on event coverage where I need something to hang the 50-200SWD even... so that is this system works perfectly for me.

Hi There

I use one of these. Really brilliant. At the moment is clipped to my bag, but fits on a belt easily.

Wat is it called?

Hi

It is made by a company called peak Design, the link is below. The guy was an inventor and raised the money to make the first batch on the internet. People pledged small amounts till he had enough and then got the product at a discount. It was like a venture capital thing. You can buy them in Stanley St Hong Kong.

The Capture Camera Clip System by Peak Design - wear your DSLR camera on any backpack strap or belt.

All the best
