USB Cable - Where to buy long one, besides SLS/SLT

Hey anyone knows where i can buy long usb cable (2m and above) for camera to laptop... in west pls?

I just took bus from work place in west to SLS yesterday..nearly died...slow n crowded.. if can avoid, will avoid

There is a shop in Funan on level 5 which sells such cable. I bought a USB to mini USM connector from them. I am not sure what is the shop name but it is located on level 5. :embrass:

Get good quality one....I experienced lost of signal on my CEO's printer after extended the cable....At the end pay more to get another one....don't ask me the brand and how to see if a cable good or not....my assumption is base on price.....the more expensive one means better material used although I could be wrong :sweat:

actually iirc, if more than 5m, you'll need to get a booster.

but based on experience, brand do matter... but since most of the time brands are not shown, and hard to see which cable is used (there is marking on the cable), you just get the thicker the better...

how do u folks manage a tethered shoot ah? the default length cables are way too short... how much to expect to pay for a longer good cable... sigh..looks like no choice but to go SLS

i bought a 5m one from challenger..about $8 i think. or was it $15? haha. so far so good. used it for a few studio shoots and working alright.

Do take note of the data loss for anything longer than 5 mtr.

i checked the price of wft-e1.. let's just say i dun shoot tethered enough to make it a viable option

depending on which system you are using, there is wireless grips or capture cards for use.

Thanks for your reponse, I am using D90. I don't think it has any built-in wireless. By wireless, I take it to mean bluetooth, right ?

so there are grips that are bluetooth enabled ?

bluetooth isn't fast enuff.
