I just found out that my sweater's zip has been badly corroded and it cannot even budge. Don't ask me how it got to this state... I had left it in the wardrobe for quite some time as who would wear a sweater like this in hot Singapore? So now I'm going for a trip and need this sweater and fortunately I took it out today and still have time to get it fixed. I'm leaving Sunday.
Anyone knows where I can get it fixed? I need to change the 'head' (the part that you pull to zip up the sweater). The zip itself is fine as it is plastic and so did not corrode. It is a YKK zip. I'm guessing that the tailors can probably get it done but I think my zip is not very common. It is very large (the head part) and the part that you pull can move from the front to back... doesn't look very common. So I'd like to check where I can find a wide range of YKK zips and get it fixed. Also, do the tailor have the zips or I would need to buy one from somewhere else and bring it to them to get fixed?
Thanks.
