To Q or to Q10?

Camera design I like Q much more compared to Q10. 3 reasons ;

i) Magnesium alloy body
ii) More retro
iii) Q white is soooo cute

Not so sure...but definitely their freebies is better then here.
Pentax is better brand known in Taiwan.

i am considering between Q and Q10 as a daily camera also..

Q10 body only costs around $370 (from eBay) while a B&S a guy willing to sell a Q to me at around $280..

is the Q10 a worthy upgrade for around $100?

To me, it's hard to justify..
Q pro

ii) Look better and somehow lighter.
iii) Stereo Recording for Video. Q10 is mono.

Q10 Pro
i) Better Sensor.
ii) Shutter speed up to 1/8000.

You got to decide somehow..

To buy Q or Q10 body only is not worth it, unless you already have the Q lens you want or you intend to use K lens only. The Q lens on its own is super ex

Performance wise, as i gathered from seniors and studying Q and Q10 specs, no difference except when you want to shoot high ISO like 6400 in low light conditions, then Q10 maybe better. Otherwise, the feeling is if like I usually shoot max ISO 400 90% of the time, Q is enough. Next week when I receive Q10 , I can compare make a amateur review, if it gets here in time.

Actually I manage to play with the Q10 during the Chinatown outing. There is differences in the High ISO. I tested both at ISO1000 but I felt the Q10 is more sharp while Q like over denoise at that range. Other than that, I really don't find much differences in the two camera.

Q also can go up to 1/8000 shutter speed- switch on electronic shutter. Q screen resolution is not lower, is 460,,000 as well. Battery life ? Maybe different AF algorithm or is it a physical difference in the way AF operates?

Given there is not much difference in IQ.. I bought a brand new set from bro Dualie..

Now just need to charge the battery.. it died while I was doing set up..

Always prefer primes to zoom..
So only one option for me..

Intention was to keep 1 Q with 2 lenses.
Hope to sell the other Q to get some money back
Still much cheaper than dual lens kit.

So sold off my XZ-1.
However, Q although small is still not pocketable enough.
Got a good deal on RX100, so bought it.

Now I have too many cameras with too little space and money.

Then I get to know about Pk-Q mount.
Bought it and decided to keep 1 Q with adaptor.
Now having fun with my k mount lens.

Sold the rest of Q system.
That's my story.

K5-IIs, K-01, Q, Rx100.

Now you have a DSLR, a Mirrorless , a Superzoom , Extreme Macro and a Enthusiast compact. Soon I think you need to sell your RX100, to get MZ-1.

I have
Kr DSLR, Q mirrorless, Superzoom, Extreme Macro( pending adapter), Q10 ( in transit)- wife's mirrorless so I can use the Q, mmmmhh ....I need or want a Enthusiast compact.

But not enough time for shooting, that need to work on to justify the cameras...make them worth owning.

The Q is really small..

My Fuji X-E1 is a real giant beside it..
Q is a great camera to bring along everywhere..

I don't think so....Materials should be different.

It should be the same as what u will be getting from Japan Pentax.

Means a Q10 double lens costing yen48,580 = S$702 two weeks back (rate was 69.0), would cost S$667 today! Abe Abe!
