Hi guys :) Heard that the place is going through major renovation, just to find out, is the place still open to public? I would love go there before it gets obliterated by our wonderful government as usual :)

Here comes The Blue

Btw, Yapster did you use a Hoya ND 400 vs B+W ND1000?? or something less?

Yup. Major Renovation on the right of the pier (facing malaysia) but the rocks area on the left is still untouch.

You can check out my reply to emlee here.

Punggol End Current Condition

But guess it will only help if you have been there before as i only use words to describe. :)

Nope. It was a simple blend of a 20 seconds (for highlights) and 30 seconds (for shadows) exposure.

Usually, at this time, you won't need ND filter to smoother out the waves unless you wanna wait for a long time. And a 9-10 stops ND filter will really make the wait long...

I do have an Hoya ND 400 though. And err, it is B+W ND110 (10 stops). :)

Type wrongly!

Thanks thanks :) hahaha I was just wondering if you needed a ND to get the effect because of the smoothness of the water :) erm, PP noob here, what's blending ( I GOOGLED already :P)

You will need ND if you are shooting when it is still pretty bright and want to smooth out the waves/water movement.

No magic setting, trial and error.

Example --> With ND 400

You can still use it when light is low, but like i mentioned, you have to wait longer. And much longer if light is really low.

13 & 14 is block for construction. Don't think there is much lalang to shoot now as it is not the season.

seriously staying in punggol for close to 10yrs dunno got so many nice places to take photo. I took 1 at my estates area but dunno how to upload over here...
