the diffusers have their own zippered portion at the bottom of the pouch to keep them safe as well.

at the back of the pouch, there's a velcro compartment for the gels to be kept.

nikon really made a good job in designing the pouch for the SB900 user.:thumbsup:

does lower guide number mean not as powerful? should that also mean less zoom naturally? and how does the iso setting IN THE FLASH affect output? or is it just to show me the iso the flash recognises and uses to process with in TTL?

The GF Lightsphere 2 for SB800 definitely CANNOT fit the SB900. Not sure about the Lightsphere Universal.

I've already written to GF Inc. to ask them about delivery of a Lightsphere that will fit the SB900....

anyway, if you get the SB900, you can do CLS with the SB800 as slave.:thumbsup:

though lower guide number to the SB800 on paper, the SB900 has improvements like DX/FX awareness and also the zoom range of the flash has been increased.

as for power, i think nikon either has made power more efficient which is probably why there's no 5th battery compartment or else it could be their marketing ploy to omit the 5th compartment to 'make' you buy the external battery pack. only time will tell when the SB900 users come back with reviews on the SB900's performance at events and weddings without an external battery pack. hold on to your SB800s for the time being.

will you be able to tell the difference if i show you a pic and ask you which flash it is shot with?
