Ok, going down to Funan later....will check out at Challengers (i saw a few displayed unit there last week).
I think it is probably better to think ahead and get a 40L/50L one if you are more likely to buy more lens than not, otherwise you will be stuck with a 30L box after you upgrade. Maybe cheaper this way also.
No, you cannot re-charge any battery (AA nor Li-ion) with the battery grip (BG-E5)... you'll have to use the relevant battery charger.
The battery grip is not that heavy, and it is also helpful to balance body against longer / heavier lens. The beauty of it is you can choose not to use battery grip at times when you want a very light setup to bring along.
for those using 2 canon batteries, how do you all charge the battery?
as i assume you will only have 1 battery charger that comes with the body.
or u buy another charger?
Went to Challenger yesterday....the Digi dry cabinet price from $150 - $500. Is this the normal price?![]()
Yea wait for one of the batteries to finish charging, then charge the other one![]()
how long does it need to charge complete?
cause usally when i charge batteries, offen just left it overnite, esp when travelling (on tour). then would result in 1 charged, i not charged ;/
About 2-3 hours.
You can always get 2 chargershow long does it need to charge complete?

I try to make it a point only to recharge when it's dead, which is why it's good to have a spare. However, Li-Ion batteries have no memory effect, so if you need a full-charge the next day, but your battery isn't flat yet, there's no harm in charging it.
Depends on capacity. Why don't you take a trip down to John 3:16? They deal in a local brand called Digi-Cabi, which sells for very reasonable prices for all capacities.
For most photography things in general, I'd suggest avoiding megastores like Challenger, Best Denki etc.
Where's john 3:16....haha...i've no idea of the photoshops...i only know some at funan and the more popular ones....Digi-Cabi, this is the same brand i saw at Challenger. John 3:16 is always crowded when i walked past. Probably bcos their price are good - maybe will pop-by one of these days.![]()
