Hi guys!
I've did a simple test using a measuring tape. The focus is spot on and i have no issue with front or back focusing. Again, all shots are taken on a tripod with picture style set to faithful and the point of focus is at the red number 12. All shots are in jpeg and no pp was done except for slightly increasing the exposure and cropping.
Camera settings are as shown below.
AF Point selection used was Manual selection: 1 pt AF. AF point was set to center and focused at the red number 12. In this picture, it appears as though it was sharp.
At 100% cropped however, we can see here that the focused area appears to be soft and not tack sharp as claimed by many reviewers with regards to it's center sharpness. This makes me wonder if my copy was a lemon. Please advise and let me know if this is actually "normal". TIA everyone for being very helpful.
