the 13xx price is online right hehe...or local shops?

Yeah man.....I would also like to know...if it is local shop with local (5 years) warranty, I will jump at it....please share....

No doubt, it's good lens which I like it so much. But, just found that the price dropped to S$13xx..... daxx heart pain lor........

where???

Hehe grey set from sg shop.or grey from online/hk? I can find 12xx online but didnt ask sg shops selling grey

grey set. local shops still around 1.9k+ last i checked. i think 1.3k vs 1.9k...$600 more for 4 years warranty(5-1 from inhouse warranty), worth it?:bsmilie:

Same thought....

How about we gather enough sets from people who are interested in this lens and we go down and buy together... More bargaining power....

can count me in if 1.3k from sg shop. miss this lens after selling it.

Me too if it is really at 1.3k.... I cam forgo the 4 years warranty for a $600+ savings....anyone arranging for this mass order?

Techno gadget 1319 now,

Save 6xx for 4 years warranty.... is it really worth it hmmmmmm

feel like getting 1 for my coming tw trip too.

but need to see how to buy from them lol

hmmmmm dont really need mass order right since can buy directly from technogadgets

btw, since there is interest in this right now; i have always been curious, have there been any instances whereby sigma/tamron singapore refuses to repair the set due to its grey status? :bsmilie:

Din hear any so far from user. But think saw somewhere tamron did state something like they have right to reject those that are not bought from local (dealers).

interesting terms

"GSH Corporation Limited (“GSH”) formerly known as JEL Corporation (Far East) Pte Ltd (“JEL”), or its authorized dealers, will not repair any products that are not officially imported by GSH and sold through an authorized dealer in Singapore.

In other words, there will be no authorized repair service for any grey (parallel imported) products. In such cases, the user will have to pay a premium for GSH to handle repair issues."

to me they should only charge for repairs on grey sets like out of warranty sets rather than a premium. this terms and conditions seems unfair to customers. Worth a check with CASE

Hi...If this is really the case, frankly saying it will mount up to more than $600 of savings....now the trick question is whether the balance 4 years is worth the $600 price tag. Taking into consideration that the lens doesn't need to go for a "yearly" check up.....

Putting that aside, any one every bought from Techno Gadget before? how long will it take before we can get the "goods" after placing order?
