I think low light performance depends on your camera body as well. Works great In low light on my 6d and 1dx. The last 2 pics of the 1.4x extender box was under my table and very dark. ISO 12800 shutter speed 1/20. That should let u know how dark it was. AF achieved without issue.

Hi, would like to know which extender you are using with this Tamron lens? I tried with Canon 2X II which autofocus not working. It keep trying to focus but can't get it right, also I found that F stop not change to F5.6.

I was using the canon 1.4x mk II. Sharp and reports the correct aperture. Tried the kenko 1.4 Dgx too. That one did not report correct aperture, but was sharp too.

That's weird. Could it becos of camera body compatible issue? Or maybe only support till 1.4x?

I could AF even when I stacked two 1.4 converters (one canon one kenko), just that image quality took a bigger hit and AF was slower.

Tried with different camera body also having same issue.
1. F stop can went down to 2.8
2. Auto focus keep turning from closer to infinity and back again......

Any particular to do when using a 2X?
Focus point set to single (center)
F stop set to 5.6,8.....etc
AF drive (all modes)... tried all these. But not working.

anyone know where to buy Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD for nikon mount?

i had this lens once, however sold it to fund my 120-300 hehe....

Hi, may I know how much you get it for?

Looking at your precious post, I reckon it's good good as compared to your cannon.

price at that time was about $19xx, was very very good compared to the 70-200II. The VC in fact is better than canon's latest IS. Only drawback was that it didn't work that well with my teleconvertor (AF consistency) in my bid to get a longer range. extremely sharp without Tc at F2.8 though

Yeah if I had a nikon body I will be jumping on this offer. Quick!

Well look at their ratings n decide for yourself. Good thing about buying in eBay is the Paypal protection.

I had good experiences so far with eBay, but I only make big purchases online if savings are substantial.

Sorry for digging up an old trend....just like to contribute my findings....

Did a quote enquiry on this lens and found that is is about $1650 (shop warranty) and payment mode is cash only....pnly drawback is that they need 5 Days to indent it....

With this price at the expanse of a much shorter warranty period.....like to hear from you guys if it is worth it?

well that is a question u have to consider yourself. whether the extra few years of warranty is worth the $300-400 savings?

No doubt, it's good lens which I like it so much. But, just found that the price dropped to S$13xx..... daxx heart pain lor........
