Was planning on getting a D7100, so did not want to spend on lens this year, lucky me:)

Haha different model mainly VC and different motor. The price still looks really good.... ;)
 

i think the IQ for the newer VC version is slightly better as well...anyone pulled the trigger on one already? :bsmilie:

Anyone bought lenses from Technogadegets before?

Any cause for bad experience buying or claiming warranty from them?

The price difference of almost $600 is almost too great for me to buy from local AD with a 4 year warranty difference (~$150 per year warranty)...

yup...agreed. based on quick searches in the forum i'd say technogadgets hasn't had any bad reviews - but it hasn't had any good ones either...so it just means nobody who bought from them has needed to claim warranty yet haha. i don't trust the "comments" on their site praising the service...
 

Hi, Just jumped to this old thread instead of making a new thread.

Did any one buy Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD (Model A009) from technogadget ?
Checked the price today on their website, it is now 1322$
Seems very lucrative offer to me and very eager to get this lens.

Need some advise from you guys.

i just got the lens today...so far so good, really sharp in the center at f2.8 =D

technogadgets, 13xx ( should still be ard the same price, check their site ).

While the item arrived in good condition, i ordered it on the 6th dec but it only arrived on the 30th. not within the 5 days as promised. There was no form of apology or remuneration of any kind; their address listed is only for collection, and the girl who works there doesn't even work for technogadgets.(it is a business hub shared by various businesses). I simply walked in, checked the lens, and walked out with it. Well, you get what you pay for i guess =) just be sure to plan your schedule accordingly. i missed a couple of events where i could have used it but oh well...
 

Tks for sharing...will take note of this. ... But how does the warranty works if the address is only for collection?
