Bad idea, Maybank will block half of your view.
Feels just like Duxton during NDP.
Padang allows a better angle but I have no idea how the flow of people will be like this year.

Same here bro, my crop factor is 14(28)mm. Even worse than yours.

not to mention the hotels cfm will mark up their prices if they have a good view of the fireworks....

Sorry I know i out of topic. BTW, I know many people usually use Bulb mode for fireworks. May I know what are the aperture or iso you guys usually use and how long is your exposure?

It's really easy. Set the f/ stop to f/10 or f/13, and ISO to 100...

depending on which camera ur using its also advisable to set ur picture styles for canon...
i use preset clear picture styles on my 50D and it gets some pretty awesome effects.... at least till the masses of fireworks goes off and there smoke everywhere... haha
