anyway i'll be videoing and shooting at the same time so even though i might not get a good shoot at least my video won't be covered(i'm 1.9m++ and mount my video on a tripod 1.3m++ and i'll be lifting the video mounted to the tripod with my hand so try to cover that :bsmilie: )

Blockade probably starts at 6pm.
This is for safety purpose in preventing an unlimited amount of people from pouring into the Esplanade and maybe in the bay itself. ;p

Blockade area will most probably be announce on the news like the F1 rally.

Hope none of the incident that happened a few years ago when a few over zealous cisco officers got all the photographers off the Shears bridge.

Can still go in but might have to go one big around.
Last year was through Millienium Walk, Flyer F1 Pit then can reach Esplanade.
Of course I wasn't sure about the actual details as I was in the crowd holding my bladder.

well when i was there last year... at one fullerton it was impossible to get in... so dis year im gonna camp early

a tip for u guys. go up the shears bridge instead. u can go up from suntec.

fireworks, u must shoot from far so smoke will be less visible.

btw, anyone know if vivo that side will have fireworks?

2 years ago i went there is firework. Not sure about this year but I guess there will be. The sky garden is quite packed too. This year i'm going universal studio as my friend suggested to eat at Hardrock cafe then try our luck to see if we can catch any fireworks.

Went to Marina Barrage 2 yrs ago for the countdown, prepared 6hrs before.
catching the last sunset, the last twilight, and the new yrs countdown.
I used kit lens only from there.

Compose and and set your desired exposure.....

shooting fireworks from Marina Barrage last couple of years ago was good as the MBS was not fully built, but for now, you'd expect only half of the fireworks can be captured, as part of it will be blocked by the MBS buildings, except for those fireworks that goes up high in the air, high above the MBS
