= Stefan's Weekly Singapore City/Landscapes II =

Though not accurately shown, I swapped to landscape mode later and lowered for a more precised angle that I was working on, like what you see pictured left. Thought of playing around with the idea of conquered devastation, the triumph of man and his machines over nature. Not sure I did right.

Again, I shifted right as I find the angle more desirable what I was looking for.

Alter Ego

Single Image RAW handheld. National Museum of Singapore.

It's again been a long long looong while I ventured into my lost love for interior photography. Granted, my skills are a bit rusty, but I guess it's worth a try at the local museum where cameras are allowed. Too bad no tripods though.

Central Stair

Single Image RAW, handheld. National Museum of Singapore.

2nd shot from the series. Alot of noise and grain in the shot unfortunately due to high ISO.

The Portal

Single Image RAW, handheld. National Museum of Singapore.

3rd shot from the series. Some of the elements were not symmetrically aligned and I feel terribly frustrated for that imperfection. Wanted to shoot again after this 7th attempt... But thank you, for your patience Stefan, to be in such a hurry to get home.

Portal Stairs

Single Image RAW with 3 Image Panorama to relief right side spatial tightness. National Museum of Singapore.

4th shot of the series. Probably the last one as well as the rest I find were too dreary. Wish there was a person down the stairs to complete the composition I was expecting. Sorry for the upper right hand corner softness as well.

The Dance of the Stair

Single Image JPEG. For the first time in my gallery, I'm uploading an image taken from my Galaxy S II.

I thought I like the soft effect of the light given off from the windows, something you can't achieve using a DSLR. Unfortunately I wanted to remove that balustrade that blocked the stairs, but the museum guards behind me said a big NO. Dag-namit. That thing blocking there is ugly as hell.

If successful I might continue in future to post pictures using just my cellphone and quick adjustments in Lightroom.

To Greater Heights

Single Image RAW, handheld. Changi Airport, Singapore.

My 2nd instalment of my lost love for interior photography: Changi Airport Terminal 3. Still kinda rusty though. Again, no tripods allowed.

All Things That Fly

3 Image Vertorama RAW, handheld. Changi Airport, Singapore.

2nd shot from Changi Airport. Did a vertorama to apply similar effects of a Tilt and Shift lens. Would've been nice if someone dressed in black walked by the frame creating a sense of scale.

I was actually struggling to find the perfect centre of the shot to align with the floor tiles for symmetry, but turns out, the tiles aren't accurately aligned to the glass façade, or even the entrance. Shoddy construction in my opinion, careful architects will not allow this to happen.

Thanks nitewalk and tecnica!! :D

Been wanting to go to the airport as I do know there are possibly a few good compositions there. But it is so out of the way!

#125 is the shot i wanted to make! I remember this scene when I went there some time ago.

The Fan Inside

Single Image RAW, handheld. Changi Airport, Singapore.

Third shot from the series. I always like that wind turbine inside the airport! Gives that Salvador Dali surrealism.

OverArch

Single Image RAW, handheld. Changi Airport, Singapore.

One of the last final shots before I head home. Got a call for some urgent errands I need to do for my aunt. Can't believe I came all the way here just for a few pics.

Single Image RAW, handheld. Changi Airport MRT, Singapore.

Was heading home, waiting for the train to arrive, sat on one of those granite seats and took a shot at this.

The Simply Joy

2 Image HDR/DRI increase using GND 0.9 soft + GND 0.6 hard for higher tonality of the sky. Sembawang Beach, Singapore.

Makes me happy, makes me fulfilled at heart, no troubles and cares in the World can stop me. It has shone for 5 billion years and will shine for another 5 billion more. Some call it the engine of life, some call it the light of the World. But we photographers call it, the sunrise.
