Against All Time

3 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0/9 soft, Sembawang Stateland, Singapore.

Final shot of the seires. Decided to shoot 45 degree angle instead of shooting straight and cropping the foreground away. There were practically alot more that I hope to post-process but it's getting rather repetitive, and I don't wish to bore the audience with more dreadful B&W scenes.

This place, is indeed magical. Hopefully it will remain this way, forever... But that's not gonna happen I guess.

Earthly Companion

3 Image HDR/DRI with no filters used. Tanjong Rimau, Sentosa, Singapore.

Took a nice break these few days, time to go back to my shootin' life. To bad it was off to a bad start as the evening sky was abysmal. But the tide was awesome though. Many thanks to Fibredrive for organizing this outing and driving me there!

To capture a nice pics took a lot of effort and time, just like the above "Behind The Scene".
Great shot Stefan. Btw, you guys took which route to Tg Rimau? By Rasa Sentosa or from Siloso?

Thanks man. :) Appreciate what you've said!! :D

We went by Fort Siloso I think. There's a carpark there near the Underwater World there. :) Had to climb down a bunch of rocks though.

This is an intertidal area, I think the last natural reef there. It would be appreciated if we all showed a little discretion in sharing on such matters. Otherwise, nature can only suffer. It doesn't just do so via bulldozers and big machinery. Over-visitation can also have a negative impact on the flora and fauna there, especially if people do not know better and just happily bring keepsakes home, happily trample on everything... Cheers.

Even if I didn't say a word about locality and access people are more or less quite capable of finding out the area and going there themselves just by the pictures.

If you trace back the history of how certain abandoned places or natural landscapes have become non-accessible to public/photographers, the series of events can be seen to stem from individual attitudes and a general lack of discretion. In almost all cases, it culminates in a point where mass outings are organized openly and the authorities step in and the rest, as they say, is history. For this area I can easily think of a reason to happily cage up the place, i.e. danger posed to public due to the place being submerged at high tide. In any case, I am merely speaking my mind, in an attempt to stem another possible such occurence. But well, I am just me, and you are you. Cheers.

From the behind-the-scene photos, I see ordinary scene being transformed into marvelous shots. You have the talent to do that and make images that is delightful to view. Great works!

All your pics are simply amazing!!! I am very inspired to achieve this kind of effects someday too! :D

Thanks nitewalk!! :) I also struggle time to find good angles for compositional meaning, and my poor tripod has to bore the brunt of the mud, sand, salt water, waves and all the dirty crap that lies all around and has never been shown in any of the shots at all. So the BTS (Behind the scenes) shots kinda gives "justice" to it. hahaha. :bsmilie:

If only it would talk, it'll say "AH!!! My legs!! Damn it, it hurts like hell!"

Thanks!! Just keep shooting to your heart's content and you'll find your style!

Punggol Rage (Wave Catching)

3 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0.9 soft + GND 0.6 hard for higher tonality of the skies. Punggol Beach, Singapore.

Been a while since I got there. I thought the sunset would be awesome but turns out hiding behind those storm clouds on the Western front. Decided to try some wave shooting instead!

This is by far one of the strongest waves that ever crashed upon the shore of Punggol Beach. I was all wet!! The waves just kept crashing continuously but my tripod and camera endured.
