S'pore Strobists?

Anyone know where to get these cables locally?

http://www.amazon.com/Pocket-Wizard-Canon-Motor-Drive/dp/B00009XVMT

Pocket wizard to canon motor drive cables. Insanely expensive for just a cable.

not available locally. u can only order them from overseas. i was thinking of getting a piece as well but the price ....:bigeyes::bigeyes:

save it when u need to order other items from there as well.

Is that the small roundish with a flat 3-pin plug that fits the EOS 1 and double digit DSLRs? And the plug that goes into the PW is a 2.5mm monoplug?

yeah but i think there is something in the centre of the wire. so i dunno whether splicing will work.

Hell yeah!

But the cord the guys are looking for is different!

Now the main problem is sourcing the little jack that goes into the camera side ...

Nice... now to get myself a soldering iron...

does anybody use DSLRKIT flash trigger (PT-04) ?? is it reliable? im thinking of getting phottix aster, but this seems cheaper.. opinions? thanks! (:

the older pt-04 versions are quite unreliable, the range isn't that long too, the cactus v4 would a better buy.. am not sure about the phottix

i'am using PT 04 3. Been using it on the vivitar, sigma, sb600 and RD600 studio strobe. So far no problem. But if the flash does not fire dont blame it on the trigger maybe your flash is recycling thats why it did not flash. But honestly this PT 04 Version 3 is good enough!

Join mine to see if you like our style of using off-camera flashes on location.

i was wondering if anyone use the lasolite ezybox and i wonder where to get grids for it...you know the ones (that look like squarish cutout holes) that allow nice fall off from the light source coming from the softbox..anyone knows where to get it? i look at the website from lasolite..its not even in the accesories section..:(
