I stop at 300mm, which is enough for me.

I think if a zoom from 100-400mm is at a reasonable price, some might also get it too....

But on the whole.... most people also stop at 300mm...... including myself.... some friends of mine also stop at 200mm only...... and it is one of the 70-200mm L........

70-200 and 70-300 is what most people would go for tele range... I guess :)

I'm not a tele fan so 300mm is enough for FF. If on a crop, will be 200mm. Unless i'm into wildlife and birding, maybe will go straight for the 500mm.

Any news about the availability of ST-E3-RT in Singapore?

I thought it's just ST-E3??

Either way is understood, just that the full product name is ST-E3-RT to indicate that this product is a RT technology.

JP's RRP is $28,000 yen which means $420-$450 in SGD. Again, I'm expecting crazy prices during SG launch, but after it stabilizes down, I would bet the price to be about $350, same as BG-E11.

I presume the ST-E3 would be around the $300+ range as the predecessor ST-E2 is around $200+ now.

If I have that lens, will just place it in its case and get a small pull-trolley for it cos if hand carry, very soon yr arms will cry for help.

I've ever seen someone hand-holding a 400 f/2.8 IS to shoot before, really impressive i must say!

As always, RRPs are highest.

some auth dealers have found to have holding stocks and sell them above RRP when all other dealers do not have stock...

BG-E11 and D800/800E/D4 are just examples.

So.. RRP is not the highest.. thanks to these black shops..
