Is it me who is suffering from information lag or it's just that the new RT system can do link shooting?
Link via RT or optical?

I've read from eos magazine april-june 12 edition page 28.. You can do so. *but i haven't try it*![]()
Yes, you can do that. I recently tried using ST-E3 RT remotely triggered a 600EX-RT mounted on the camera. All you need to do, is to set the ST-E3 as master and 600EX-RT as slave with the same channel and pin number. Once you press the test button, the camera will pre-focus and fire. However, the flash on the camera will not fire. You can fire as many cameras as you can as long as they have ST-E3 and 600EX-RT mounted on them.
Do take note, this setup will only work with camera made in 2012, like 5DMK3 and 1Dx. You can still remote trigger the older model cameras but with the help of the trigger cable, which linked the flash to the camera.
Thanks for the shareRead this on the 600EX-RT and saw this section about linked shooting, found it interesting.
Now I need the damn ST-E3 to come!
Oh! I realised that flash can be fired during linked shooting. Need to enable it at personal function.
Eh some correction....only up to 16 camera =)

I can only use optical as my slave is 580EX II.
Yeah.. if only we can use ST-E3 to control 600EX-RT and 600EX-RT is the optical master for the older flash like 580EXII, would be damn awesome!
Bros who have the 600EX-RT, I'm ordering the Sto-Fen OM-ET Omni-Bounce from BH. Anyone interested in tagging along please PM me within the next couple of days. Will cost ~ $19 to $23 depending on interest level.
Thanks.

Using the optical triggers. Set either to master, the other to slave. Both have to be in line of view of each other to work.
