You can refer to this article that mentions 600EX and 600EX-RT. Seems like the illumination light is different colour for both.

if i am not mistaken, the illumination light colour is changeable - amber and green colour is selectable.

Ok I found out. Amber is when it's on SLAVE mode. Green when on all other modes.

Thanks for the article. But as of now here is only the RT version. I presume the regular version to be cheaper definitely, but not too much.

Yea I also expect the non-RT to be within $100 of the RT version. So I thought I might as well grab the one with RT.

RT or Non Rt both have wireless optical transmission except RT have the advantage of wireless radio transmittion.
Why not get the best of both worlds?
