Speedlite 600EX-RT

Where is 600ex-rt? It did not come with the 5D3! :(

I asked a few shops, and they said they do not know the actual date, but more like mid-April.....

Pricing, also unknown yet...

But I am really waiting for the 24-70mm II.......... also said to be mid-April...

So only thing can do now is to wait..........

I rather BG-E11 come out first than 600EX-RT lol! :bsmilie:

Congrats on your new toy... for most of us with no M3.... we only waiting for non-M3 accessories..... ;p

Next on my list is 600EX (non-RT) and then the BG. A year of empty pocket.

Just curious why not consider the RT ver???? Since you wanna get the flash....

This year is turning out to be a nightmare for me.... so many wants and needs..... resource though is limited........

My understanding the RSP price for 600ex-rt is $959. I think the shop selling price will be lesser.

Frankly speaking, I don't own any 580ex anymore. So that I can fully using the advantage of 600ex-rt.:)

Most probably will be getting the st-e3 together if the price is right.

I am also trying to test the flash with the profoto air or air sync. They used the same 2.4Ghz. Hopefully, the same frequencies. If it works, I can use both 600ex-rt and profoto system together.
Keeping my fingers cross.

After this my next target is WFT-E7.

Yes, Canon is making us bankrupt with all the releases.

For me, it's 5D3 with BG-E11 will do, the new flash is not needed.

I was thinking of slowing changing away all my flashes to RT...... since I am already hooked to wireless shooting with 2-3 flashes....... but requiring a line of sight can be painful at times.....

ST-E3.... seems like a very powerful transmitter but I highly suspect it can work with non-Canon trigger....

But I think if people using strobes, it make no sense to go Canon RT.... since pocket wizards, etc is more easy for them to switch between flashes and strobes....

Cos I'm not a strobist. Just using the speedlite for events. As long as a 600EX can support the 61-pt AF system, that's good enough for me.

Of course if the RT version is not too far off in terms of price, I might get it instead.

I see... just hope the 600 exposure is more spot on..... I think the diff should not be that much in price bt RT & non-RT........ I hope....

It is actually a pain-in-the-a$$ for strobists. and for that reason, that is no way I am forgoing my 580EX II for 600EX.. things like pocket wizard and cheaper alternatives is the way to go ;p

Tell me about it.. Last night, I was trying to lit a tree for an outdoor shot, but without a good line of sight, I could not do it properly, n the end product was not so ideal as what I have conceived mentally....... if that was RT, it would not been a problem....

I like the part where ST-E3 can have full control power of all the flashes without actually touching the flash control.... so I will wait for more reviews before I decide... but most likely, I will make the switch.... base on current information.......

Just update that the flash had landed in Singapore

wow, flash so fast!

BG-E11 still 1 month to go...
