Speedlite 600EX-RT

Will the Gary Fong Lightsphere for 580EXII fit on the new 60EX-RT?

Stofen no as the 600EX head is bigger than 580EX II. Lightsphere... I got to test tonight when I get home :p

Dropped by Funan just now to pick up the 600EX-RT

I presume need to get another stofen omnibounce just for the 600EX-RT. I have a gary fong whaletail and wondering if it'll fit too.

Actually, I might just forgo the Stofen for 600EX-RT. The light amber filter with cover seems to be a good use to diffuse the light. And the colour correction seems quite neutral :)

Yah... bigger and shape is slightly different. Luckily I still got a Demb Flip-It Pro.

It's always good to have adjustable flash accessories. M

My bounce card has a build-in rubber band and large panel flash blender is on adjustable Velcro :)

Good thing I never throw away my old DIY bounce card made from craft foam and velcro sia...

noob question: you are referring to the "orange" colour one or the almost transparent one?

haha.. sometimes you'd never know when these things come handy :bsmilie:

I was thinking if there are no diffuser solutions yet, maybe find some white translucent paper or something than cut out to fit the colour gel holder or something like that. I mean even LCD screen protector also DIY liaos, might as well DIY for this =X

or you can get one of those white plastic bag your mum gets it when she does the groceries, cut piece out and rubber band it over the head. I've seen people done that.

I was referring to the almost transparent one. Seems quite versatile for most shooting condition.

Bro with 600EX RT.... could you show some test shot of the pictures taken with the new flash, and how you find the exposure of the flash??

Thanks...

I'm not sure how the test shots would help you decide whether the 600EX is good... But in general, it is good companion with 5D3 due to the 61-pt support.

And it has a custom function that lets you select whether to spread the light over the whole frame which increases the brightness of the corners. This function is good for shooting group photos in a fairly closeup distance.

Yes it comes with the following:

Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT

  • Soft Case
  • Stand
  • Color Filter Holder SCH-E1
  • Soft Case for Filter Holder
  • Color Filter SCF-E1OR1 (Light Orange)
  • Color Filter SCF-E1OR2 (Dark Orange)
  • Case for Filters
  • Instruction Book
  • 1-Year Warranty

Good discussion here. :bsmilie:

Next thing is to get ST-E3 to pair with 600EX-RT.
Great for adjusting power and function to off-shoe slave.
The functions look similar to what PW miniTT1 and flexTT5 is doing.

Hi, observe any improvement in recycle time compared to 580ex2 ?
