Use your imagination as to the outcome of the "hostages".
I'm quite amused by the comments that has been posted here. From "where got long hair SWAT" to Chicken wings at weapons handling.
Erm...yes, these are little details but look @ the Screenshot which was posted...the guy on the left also Mr Chicken Wings...and that's computer generated which gives the creator even more control over the characters...
We would've expected more comments based on "Oh framing is so and so"...composition is so and so...blah blah...
Lets just stick to that cause we're working with models of limited experience with military tactics and movements, most of us were more concerned about getting the shot right rather than chicken wings and hey, we were trying to have fun while shooting something different.
So if you think that you can do better, go ahead and shoot. It's easy to capture a screenshot from a computer game and says that it's better. :nono:
I could always post up a screencap of "Band of Brothers" and say that it's better as well...it's easy.
Shooting any type of weapon sideways as shown is unrealistic and Real World Pro's never shoot like this. That typically is a the GangBangers style.
Even STAR / SECOM never shoot like this. I know this first hand from shooting with them and know they place emphasis on gun handling and they certainly dont move around with finger on trigger as depicted. One stumble the person in front or behind is shot.
While I like the idea of the series, it looses the effect from a gun handling point of view, if you have ever shot the same weapon in real terms you will know how hard it is to control your trigger finger when its in the guard on the trigger when jumping obstacles and especially in this photo the person shooting the pistol has the other weapon behind this head with finger on trigger. Its this attention to detail that lets this series down.
Maybe you should research more about weapons handling, movement before depicting a scernario such as this, which seems to make a joke out of the professionalism of all Special Forces Members.
Cheers ....
nice shoot at the abandoned flats, if i'm not wrong so of the ground house unit is unlock... did went there for a look before, but the upper level is lock... if not can do a better shoot over there...
nice..
I think the part 2 (If i do consider doing a part 2.....) might invite some of those who commented on the wrong handling and such to come down as our "technical advisors" so that we won't make such mistakes again. ;p
Yeah some of the lower levels were unlocked... no way to access the top... even can also not a good idea... there was police patroling also.. they came to have a friendly chat with us and even wanted to know where to get the guns from hahaha invited them to join in the shoot but they politely declined hahaha
i guess some of the photogs there then might have been through ns already. like what getz said, the planning is important but we all understand its make believe also, we all budget photographers only wad! haha
ok you should realise the place is pretty clean, no rubbish no nothing too clean for a shoot. find a way to work around that (not telling you now so you can figure out yourself)
the handling of weapons has been mentioned so it can be improved for part 2
by far one of the better shots is the kick open the door one imo![]()
also, try shooting more shots indoor since you all could access inside, the natural window lighting would be useful for more drama mama effect if you all weren't playing with lights
that's how i would make do with the limitations, figure how to eliminate the 'clean' surroundings ok? haha next time then tell you, go think alittle first, thinking is part of learning and its fun ;p
hahaha ok thanks sprintist will go pick my mind to see how to make the place dirty... as for the indoor one we actually found it by accident... most of the ground floor units had grills so no way in only this particular one only had a door with a lock and latch... our intention was just to simulate the kicking of the door but who know the moller so into his role he actually kicked the door and broke the latch!!! hahahaha but by then was already towards the end and we were all quite tired so i think only myself took those indoor shots.
no you don't have to make the place dirty
if there's part 2 i would like to try helping out will see what i can help with my little knowledge, am keen in it but need to have more proper props :bsmilie:
Paiseh if the title of the thread caused some misunderstandings, I tried editing it but it seems like the thread title is still the same.
