Hi, I don't really understand all the different canon flash metering stuff, but anyway, are u saying that we can mount the YN565EX on NEX 6 and can use it as an auto flash?

Tested that out in auto mode. Pretty cool, its HSS can keep up with our 10fps.

Oh man, that cool? I thought those TTL yongnuos Wun work on nex6 and ended up buying a manual one. Dam.

YN565EX got the latest ETTL. It's a great flash but size wise not too friendly to bring it along else will need a bigger bag for that. I still looking around see who has the Canon 320EX for me to try on.
did you get the kit lens? The kit lens show a lot of distortion at 24mm so some form of auto correction will be really helpful.
Adobe raw lens profile which I downloaded seems to be quite "different" from the sony raw converter.

Until Sony comes out with a decent balanced dedicated flash for the NEX 6, the hunt for the best 3rd party option continues...

Just tested out 320EX and the result is damn astonishing! Totally can't communicate with our nex6 and every shot is far over exposed till the extend my whole screen turns white. Shots taken with YN565EX still very well balance but it's just too big.

no one using HVK-F20Am ? i read that the built in flash and remote trigger the F20AM , but not sure it comes with TTL when on remote mood

I sold away my F20AM since require additional adapter RP:$35 for it which still out of stock coming to 2 weeks.

No choice as nex-6 now uses a standard hot-shoe, not the sony proprietary hot-shoe anymore. Thus, you need an adapter to use the F20AM (available from the accessories list). Looking at it possitively, a standard hot-shoe allows you more options (plenty of flashes out there) but you can always buy an adapter just to use sony flashes.

I went in to Sony Store and they told me for Canon & Nikon flash is direct bolt-on but if want to use Sony flash will need adapter.
The only Sony flash direct bolt-on is 60 the highest end model.

dunno about the SB600 but I have the SB700 and it can go halfway but it locks.
Can shoot in manual mode.

I would say those lower end Canon or Nikon without manual control won't work on our nex6.
It's tough to find a suitable size flash for our small body since auto E-TTL usually won't comes in compact size.
