Have you collected your camera? Which parts did they replace?
For my case, they only cleaned the contacts - seems to work fine so far, hope it stays that way... *fingers-crossed*
Not Yet. Been calling them for several days, finally today they confirm that it is really for collection.
Don't know what part they changed, but hopefully they really did through testing to ensure that the issue has been resolved.
Most probably going down to collect tomorrow...
Just collected my camera. Unfortunately, forgotten to bring battery and SD card, so unable to through test the camera.
However, a quick test done at the Service Counter with Sony's battery, seem like the issue is solved. tried to move the lens while focusing, but the symptom no longer there. will test again later.
For my unit, they change the contact unit, and upgrade firmware to V1.01 as stated in the repair cert.

They mentioned exactly the same issues as what I said earlier. I don't understand why sony will not change these two as it causes fustrations to many of their users.
"There are two playback mode annoyances that Sony has not addressed in the NEX series. Perhaps the most frustrating is that stills and videos cannot be viewed at the same time. You must manually switch between the two (three, actually, since AVCHD and MPEG4 videos are also separate) from either the thumbnail screen or the playback menu. It's not as if it's not technically possible, since other manufacturers, such as Panasonic, can play everything sequentially.
The other thing that might cause frustration is the inability to move from one photo to another while the frame is enlarged. This feature is helpful for verifying photos, or checking to see the effect of things like HDR or D-Range Optimizer. Again, this is fairly common in competitive cameras, and a real time-saver when reviewing multiple similar images."

How's your camera holding up? For mine, they only cleaned the contacts, and it was fine then, but now the problem has returned...
Looks like gotta make another trip to the Wisma one of these weekends... Sigh...

perhaps the issue with your unit are the dirty contact points. how have you been maintaining your camera?
Nah, can't be - didn't even remove my lens since collecting it from them.
Anyway, there are many reported cases, hopefully by now the service center knows to replace the contact unit instead of just doing cleaning.
Adamis, if you are reading this, please share the list of parts replaced in the work order, thx!

when you shoot in RAW, uploading to the computer gives you an image in its RAW form. that means you have to manipulate the image to get the desired outcome
