Cannot work as in can't even power up the camera, while it can on older NEXs?

My experience with 3rd party batts is that it works fine, but cannot be charged in-camera using usb... the nex6 charging only recognises the original batt...

What brand is yours? The one I use can power up, take 1 shot and a message pops out after that saying " Incompatible Battery. Use correct model" and camera remains unoperable until battery change.

I charge using my Nex 3 charger or/and 3rd party charger. Anyway won't charge in-camera, personal preference. Anyway right now I could charge 3 batteries simultaneous if I want. I have 4 original + 1 3rd party.

One thing to ask.

I noticed that the videos and stills are not shown together during playback. To view my videos, I have to hit down, then move the the left to toggle and choose the AVHCD folder before I can view my movies. Is there a faster way?

I would prefer the movies and stills show up together during playback... Is there a way to set that?

Not that I know of ever since the first generation NEX... apparently Sony did not receive that much feedback regarding this issue so they never release firmware to change it...

Sign, i dont know what to buy.. Went to Cathay yesterday and almost got the Fuji..go for better high iso performance or a camera thats a few hundred cheaper with faster AF and better video capabilities..Plus i got a small existing collection of 3 minolta lenses and a flash..

Did you use the sensor cleaning function in the camera?

Else for any registered unit within warranty can send in to Sony @ Wisma for free servicing.

It would not switch on even after I moved it to the Off position and On again. The only way to fix it was to remove the battery and re-insert. It happened twice over the past 2 days. Do any of you guys here experience similar issues?

I think you would have a case to replace another set with Sony...

doesn't sounds right. best to bring it down to service centre to check. do u have another battery to test ?

I think you would have a case to replace another set with Sony...

Yup, those things are usually hard to reproduce and never happen while the camera is in the service center.

First buying Sony Nex.. Other brands usually comes with the caps and CHARGER too.. sigh.
