What is the street price for NEX 6 now?
Is Sony smart remote control available in Singapore app store? Where else can I download this app for iPhone? Btw, got my nex 6 yesterday from harvey Norman, pretty good price as well.

Hi,
Am I right to say that there is no need for me to upgrade the firmware to 1.01 if I am using my Nex 6 with the SEL16-50 PZ kit lens only ?
Thanks !![]()

Because it's faster to ask the question here instead of updating the firmware?![]()
Not really leh. My response came 2hrs after he asked. He could have updated at least 5 times...
Anyone encountered this problem yet?
NEX-6 lens blackout/reset bug: Sony NEX Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review
Just realized that this was the reason why sometimes the lens seems to go bonkers, zooming in/out, trying to focus without success, and occasionally hanging the camera, requiring the batt to be removed and replaced back to recover.
It is easily reproducible by twisting the lens near the mount point, looks like the electrical contacts are quite flimsy and when this happens it shows F-- aperture.

Update. I just tried it with my Sigma 30mm and I'm able to reproduce the problem repeatedly. It's to the point of unusable. Will be sending it down for servicing and see what Sony can do.
