Quite an ugly VC hey... so chunky

Been thinking about these 2 camera.... just feel a little weird. I don't mind the 1 dial only, as long as they still put the drive mode on that 1 dial. Since I shoot M mode for the camera n the flash, Its ok with me to lose the exposure and flash comp dial.

likely. dont really like the way it look, at least for now. the vc look pretty ugly too.

and it doesnt looks very intergrated to the body as well. looks like 3rd party. why cant they make something like nikon or canon vc to make the whole body looks more intergrated.

At the handgrip area, there is a vertical line, wonder what is it for? :think:

It's the grip sensor. In Dynax 9, the eye-start focussing activates only when the grip sensor detects your hand. Otherwise, looking into the VF alone doesn't start the AF. It has to be simultaneous detection. In Alpha 100, you only need to look into VF and it starts the AF.

Exciting times... these are prototypes, I dun think the shape will change much... it will cost too much to retool to change the shell and the internal arrangements now... but I'm more interested in the high end amateur... will SONY create a camera that slots higher than a 30D (like 5D) but lower than a 1D as a high end amateur? That would be a bold move... and the high end pro camera to be better than the 1Ds?

SONY should have just released information and keep the photo/prototype to them self. In this way we can all still dream how the next camera will look like (and be happy) and will be curious to wait again for the final release.

Just hope the new 7D replacement has much better look.

ditto. those 2 were the major downpoints preventing 7D from being the perfect cam.

Interesting news!! It does look ugly lah but only 1 dial. Will be waiting for Sony to announce the specs. :devil:
