Time for more photos. Some shots of the Juventus players when they were in SG last Fri during their training sessions. Had the chance to meet them personally after their trainings thanks for Hour Glass and Hublot. I can only name 3 of the players out of the 5 here. LOL...

Patrice Evra (Former Man Utd)

FE 55/1.8

Paul Pogba

FE 55/1.8

Looks like Giovinco, can't confirm...

FE 55/1.8

Gianmarco Vannucchi

FE 55/1.8

Carlos Tevez

FE 55/1.8

Actually I believe there are 5 different version, not 3. If u are talking about sharpness, I believe the common consensus on the web is version 2 serial number 2500XXXX, not the latest version. If u are talking abt B&W photos, then most would prefer the early versions, with yellowed glass due to the rare earth glass element. And if I am going for sharpness, Ill get the FE 55 f1.8 haha, If u are talking abt the diff bet version 1 and latest version, my advice is forget abt it. There's enough sample variation in all these lenses that unless u have tried hundreds, then maybe can give a more authoritative comment. Just enjoy the lens, whichever version u have and shoot shoot shoot.

Really makes me wonder what is the different between the v1 v2 and v3. Really on the web that optically they are all the same. Not sure about coating though. The v1 looks cool being a full metal barrel.

Anticipating the crowd to get their signatures on their jerseys/scarfs (also on my Hublot cap) and people asking to take selfies with them, I know the Rokkor will be cumbersome in such situation, better bring the trusty lazy AF lens, if the AF nails it, can be quite sharp. LOL...

haha "can be quite sharp" is a severe understatement for the FE 55 1.8. it is damn tack sharp. can see all the sweat and pores liao hehe

must b modest ma. u know me one rite? ;)

changing to which camp.

Try indoor high iso shoot using 35 2.8 very noisy compare to D800. I did consider A7s but af still same.

Anyone want to buy my lens haha?

Haha actually the a7s will AF better in low light vs the a7/r.

just some images from the 7th month with the A7S and Zeiss FE 55mm. all shots are at F2. if you're shooting, do show respect to them.

so clean until i have to purposely put noise back inside

My naughty daughter picked up a lalang stick during a park walk. Lighting is just nice on her face and a "busy" background to try out the Helios swirly bokeh.
