Sony A6300, finally!

Sigma just release its MC-11, Canon/Sigma EF Mount to Sony E Mount adapter (http://www.sonyalpharumors.com)

Means we can use the A6300 with Sigma 18-35 F1.8 with full support of full electronic aperture, IBIS and autofocus control.

Also just leak today is the 50-100 F1.8 APSC & 30mm 1.4 APSC.

Its a great day for potential A6300 buyers ... So many new lens to choose. (But still heavily dependant on the effectiveness of the MC-11.)

Haha Ryan ... I think X-Pro2 might still be a better photography camera ... The look of a Fuji is unique.

Not everything is about max value for price. 2015 best photo was shot by a 5D2 (8 years old camera).

Which best shot ?

Xpro and a6300 appeal different users surely. The a6xxx lineup can still easily fits in a domke pouch if you outfit it with a 20mm for a very compact setup. Xpro is larger than my leica M, even with the 27mm felt like a bigger box. I have sure brought the a6k out more than the M due to the bulk. But of course if a 30mm equivilent feels odd to you, it wouldn't work too.

sony got to release an apsc lens proportionate to the small body, else potential buyers will shy away

Let's see.. I am personally for a good travel sized APSC zoom with less variation between copies. However it does seem like they have been doing quite well so far with the a6000.

This is such a great news! at least for me :D
I own few Sigma EF lenses. The question is, will it be as damn slow as Metabones / Fotodiox / Commlite?

We can only find out when user reviews are in... Too much marketing speak to sift through now anyway.

Launching at next week's IT show. 10 March. Whether on sale is another matter.

Eh, any idea how long generally before a camera's price starts dropping? Cause I am trying to decide between this and the a6000. Main pro point for me is the fact that the a6300 has a silent shutter, but if the cost difference is too much, my wallet will vote for the older version.

Too many factors would play into this. For instance whether a6000 will be kept alongside the a6300 as the second tier model, whether there is a Sony Days promotion, whether suddenly sales of a6000 plunge and Sony needs to clear stock.

If you are not in a rush to get a camera, you may want to wait just a while longer since Sony seemed to lower the prices of the RX100 cameras by a small bit when the new version came out and continued selling almost every version. Otherwise the current price is really good for what you are getting in the a6000.

The A6000 is not that loud too.
How long after price drop.. it really depends. it could be 6 month.. it could be longer.. till then perhaps another new camera will be rumored or around the corner.. Then you might start thinking again.. So.. Are you going to sit on the fence forever?

TWmilkteaTW - lol def not. for me cause I do some shows and all that, a click in a theatre setting can be really annoying. That or animals get startled by clicks too. Just need to test it out. I will def make a choice within 3 mths of the a6300 being out for sale here.

Richiemccaw1 - understood on that. Might be waiting max 3 mths. unless its priced really attractively. Either set. I'm looking to get a long-ish lens since I do some events photography, so if this round the a6000 comes paired with a long lens, or a PwP, then I might just get that and upgrade again at a later date.

If you want a silent-ish shutter, the 6D's shutter was one that really left an impression on me.

interesting, it really know what the consumers is after.

Sony Singapore hasn't announce the pricing yet ... so looks like this Thursday no sales of 6300 during the PC show ...
