Sony A6300, finally!

Wah, now Sony so low key about the launch of their new camera ...

I remember the last time when the launched their A7R (I think it was A7R but can't remember which exactly A7 model but I can remember it was the first time a camera can do such a high ISO "without noise").

I was invited by Sony along with many others to their launch event, they invited overseas guest speaker, got food and also they did a demo on their High ISO. The invited us into a dark room lighted up only by one small candle and there was a belly dancer in bikini inside the room. And the presenter took photos of the belly dancer as she was dancing to prove to us that there was no noise ... !!

Compared that to A6300, launch of A6300 very low key now ...

Kit for now and probably use Sigma adapted lenses a little later on. maybe sony primes as well. still looking ard

I was walking around funan & cathay photo today. My gosh ... Both places i went have people buying the 6300. (TK foto & cathay) when i was walking by.

So was the Sony booth at Suntec. PACKED.

Looks like a good start and ppl are happy with the reviews so far

No reason to lower the current selling price anywhere since there is good demand for it I reckon. Why would any self-respecting businessman pass up on a good chance to earn a bit more if there is more demand than they can meet? Assuming this is the case for the a6300.

Once demand tapers off, the street price or lower RRP should surface.

Some people also lost touch nowadays, quite common 1st day launch, there's slight difference in prices between RRP and street price, though not always.

Some rich people of course doesn't bother about the discount.

Anyway, I was later quoted $1,445 for body only. So why cannot expect discount on first day ?

Sony already hinting a killer launch end of this year. Could possibility be a A7R iii. They will cannibalize their own products without a care in the world. 6300 ISO already proving it match the A7rii head to head til 128000 ISO. Who uses much of that anyways.
