I will be interested in sessions like this. But I think I am a newbie who reads too much on the theoretical aspects but has lots of problems in the practical aspect. A coffee table newbie I suppose. So I guess I'd need to get to the field and get more exposures. Haha.

I will be reviewing the names again later, those who have DSLR and more experience, I will be taking your names out.

Let me explain here:

There are many formal courses available at PSS and SLCC etc and even Azure outing is fantastic learning experience (though I have not attended but have heard great things about it).

So if you are looking for a course type of environment, you cannot find it in this session. I will recommend you to go to PSS or SLCC. Similarly if you are looking for more advance learning experience, you will be disappointed it will be better to join AG outing or some other outings.

What I am doing here is NOT to conduct a course, but to share with newbies, the very basic of what is Aperture, Speed, iso, metering etc and some basic on flash and some basic composition. More importantly to show them where to explore and find the answers. I do not dish out notes nor answers but rather show them how to go about getting the answers.

So for the more experience users you may find this session boring and may even be a waste of time for you.

I am also not a technical person so do not expect me to tell you or give great answers as to how to calculate focal length etc. I just know how to take good images and great birds photo and also make a decent living from photography

However, I do hope to achieve this:

- Get the newbies to know the very basic
- and get them excited to discover more themselves
- show the newbies where to find guides or references to get the answer
- inject some confidence to the newbies

Lastly Have a Great Time Sharing and hope to get a free meal :bsmilie:
