Oh. I apologise if I sounded rude. Well it is really great that someone is willing to put in such efforts to help newbies. Just felt that DSLR newbies usually need an extra hand more. Sorry. And cheers. :)

No worries, I will take your point and will work out something for some mid level users. I will find the time for it perhaps in May. :)

Very generous mod.
Too bad I can't attend that day. Hope you guys enjoyed it.

+1 vote for it! Can I sign up for that one first? :bsmilie:

i am totallly new to photography..but would be away for a short hol that week..would appreciate if the date can be pushed back a little..or hoping if there is a 2nd lesson!

thanks!!

hmm im wondering if this is a one-off time course or wld there be several lessons? 1 session is definitely not sufficient.. not trying to sound greedy.. :p i was wondering if newbies wld like to form a support grp and interact on a regular basis or sth.. a form of encouragement for each other to improve and also there's a grp to discuss abt the pics taken.. it sounds fun! :D

I shld tink a 1 time course to guide on the basics. Its up to individual to shoot and experiment, to learn and to share. Of couse, basic foundations must be there :)

I would love to join... Juz got my DSLR 1 month ago....

Awwwwwwwww man!! yeah i do own a DSLR and did not realise that u had intended to only take in non-DSLRs. sorryyyyyyyyyy about that and i certainly respect your decision...it's ur class, ur effort, ur time...u can and most defi shd be able to pick the qualification criteria! uppzzzzzzzzzzz again for u mate for this sterling effort...may more be inspired!!

(Just a parting note - someone mentioned that not all DSLR owners are pro's...yes that's true....e.g. i decided to start my explorations by starting off with a DSLR...but trust me am a newbie as i had no clue what aperture, shutter speed and bokeh meant up until 2weeks ago!! hell...i cd not even fix my own lens on my dslr for a few days!!) shhhhhhhh...hope no one's listening! ;)

All the best for the session mate...have fun u lucky 10!! :bheart:

Will he be taught of shutter speed, aperture, ISO and etc?
Just helping him to signup first since the seat is limited. if he can't make it on that date, then i will inform you and withdraw the seat for another newbie.

if it helps, i found that the book given by sony (during the recent lens launch) has some quite good details on the basic things like aperture, shuttle speed, composition, framing etc. so for those that is interested, maybe u can PM me and i can try to make a few copy of the pages (less the sales talk n sony specific info, any copyright issue??) or scan into softcopy (if i have time) to email to those interested. Mostly useful for newbies and first timer user of cameras.

:) hope it helps
