Shooting from a lower height

Sun was partially hidden behind the clouds and somewhat softer.

Tilted and stitched

Imho i would've preferred less foreground and more sea and sky for this one cuz uhm the soil doesnt look very appealing atm... Lol.. (maybe im just used to liking more pastely creamy colors hahaha)

Can we go shooting some day? :p

There's so much i can learn about panos.

Hi Ryan, I think your pano works deserve a new term -> shift stitched.

hi gkhoo thanks for your input.

The skies were too cloudy and I was not interested in having too much clouds to drown the tiny foreground shores. One fine day when i catch more exciting lights I will definitely put more emphasis in the skies

You will find that I am very boring person to shoot, since i only do 2 or 3 shots per place. Maybe we can lim kopi and play with my T/S lenses too!

:bsmilie: Once in a while I also do rotated stitched too!

Haha, i've visited ur site a couple of times and have read wad u posted too.

Anyway, I don't have your kind of lens to begin with so what I do the shifting from my tripod.

;)

Hi luffs

The last two panoramas were taken with a 24mm PCE lens. Some were taken with an 85mm PC lens or a 28mm PC lens.

Here is a little writeup on how the shifting is done to make a panorama if you are interested.
I will write something about tilting / tilt stitching next time

I was at labrador yesterday but the skies was damn disappointing. Not only that, it was extremely high tide.

I kinda like this piece. A different feel altogether now that you've shot it at a lower height.

:)

thanks Hongjone.
Tilting at a wide aperture achieved the overall effect.

More familiar scenes. Taken at sunset when the last bit of cloud diffused rays was reflected.
On uncropped image you can see how " clean " the panels are.

This looks like some model housing. Very special, and nice.

After some digging up, here is another. Taken at a smaller aperture while having focus all the while on the houses.

Thx luffs. Visiting the place some time soon ? :)

I just took the lift up to the highest floor, not sure which one is it. But there is a corridor with a view to shoot from.

really nice sets bro....
love the model like housing pics...
especially the blue van really looked like a toy...
care to share how to make the effect on ps...
thanx...

Thanks luffs and nsr182.

nsr182 the shots were done with tilt shift lenses, it was not PSed.
But it can be mimicked though, there are several online PS tilt shift tutorials.

Building blocks of a world class resort. A longer exposure taken only at the later hours when the place was lighted.
